Gideon - "Politics is clearly not you best subject. The Tories put a stop to fracking because it is seen as a vote loser. "
My monthly energy bill has gone from £154 to £168 to £236 in 3 months. You think that's a vote winner? "Green" is so last year. The tide is turning fast, "net zero" is rapidly becoming a massive vote loser.
iplit - not necessarily:

Some people just like their ICE!
Great news for the sector, IGAS should be clear now to proceed with developments in the Gainsborough Trough. This is a significant and welcome u-turn, and should help the UK towards energy independence. No quantum physics or fantasy deep earth drilling required.
pasa - has it ever worked for more than 5 seconds?
I may be missing something, but what has a torch, no matter how fancy, got to do with IGAS?
I'm sure I've seen that sci-fi B movie, and it didn't end well.
I think it's revealing that the EU's proposed solution to their current energy crisis is not to build more wind turbines, but to buy more gas to fill their backup storage units. Tacit admission that wind energy is a fail.
The drop today does seem odd. iGas does have assets in Oil & Gas (surprise!) and there is clearly going to be increased demand, so you would have thought there would be upward pressure on the SP in line with the upward direction of oil and gas prices. Is the SP being suppressed to let someone load up?
Jesus. Does an influx of idiots bode well for the SP?
Yes, I have, and fair enough, that specific request wan't anticipated. However, final test and calibration of the unit once fully assembled will have always been in the plan. It IS fully assembled, as confirmed in the RNS if YOU read it properly - "the key LIGHT components are now assembled in situ at Daresbury". Critical parts are not "missing", they (4 CCL's) are just awaiting conditioning.
Another delay? What planet are you people on? There are steps that need to be taken that can only be done once the machinery is fully assembled. Final calibration could not possibly be done while the equipment was in pieces. This RNS is confirmation that the kit is now fully assembled and being calibrated and certified for use. To suggest that this is something out of the blue is at best ignorant, at worst disingenuous.
Doc83 - you were spot on, well done. I agree they will hold off from breaching 30%; if not completely, then at least for 30 days or they would be forced to offer to buy at the pre-crash price. 28 days from now it may be a different story.
I know people are meaning well, but the idea of taking it on the chin and spending the next 10 years recouping losses is all well and good if you have ten years. At 61 and in remission from cancer I have more chance of this share still hitting £10, so holding for a miracle is my only hope. TLSA, ODX now SNG. Covid take me now, I'm done.
