Surely that fund is for businesses adversely affected by coronavirus. It would be fraudulent to make a claim if there was no direct adverse effect on the company due to coronavirus I would have thought.

The US intends to buy and store as much as they can while the Saudis are giving it away. I doubt that the Saudis will keep that up for long.

I doubt if the US will allow their new found energy independence to be damaged by this action; they will take measures to protect their shale oil industry (and we all know how far that can go). Russia will be equally robust in dealing with this. This Saudi action smacks of desperation, and to me highlights why countries should be aiming to be as independent as possible when it comes to energy.

Personally I don't blame SS for not communicating every single twist and turn. It costs money - in more ways than one.

There is a deramping tag team at work here who will twist and turn any announcement to be a negative. They will infer, misinterpret, and fill the gaps (as they perceive) with lies. We've seen positive RNS result in a ****storm of negativity and a further drop in the SP. In the absence of an RNS to twist they do the same to any positive posted by the eyes. In the absence of any news at all they revert to their crib sheet of stock complaints: dilution (don't mention asset accretion FFS), CEO perceived incompetence, previous failures (because SS learned nothing from BB of course), etc.
