The SS bonus was paid when things were looking much better in the economy as a whole, i.e. before POO collapsed and COVID-19. The bonus and pension contribution, with hindsight, look excessive now, but at the time maybe not. Unfortunate.

To be fair Mick, I doubt anyone then had any idea that SS was tucking himself up with a massive bonus (>100% of his salary) and bunging as much into a pension pot as most of us would contribute in a lifetime. Next years AGM might be a different story.

I too am not happy with the bonus and pension contributions, nor the consultancy fees. You could argue that we ARE in production now so the bonus may have been justifiable, but it's been a faltering start to production and cash is not flowing in the volume to support that level of remuneration.

It doesn't change the underlying story, hence little impact on the SP, but it does make you wonder when proper flow is going to make any difference to the SP.

Before this artificial price drop (which is unsustainable) the 2021 forecast was for POO to increase, and the long term forecast is that it will continue to do so as output falls. Current plans by OPEC and Russia to ramp up production will only make this happen sooner as they pump wells dry.
