There is a theory that platforms like HL will sell small numbers of shares to cover charges if there are no funds in the account. I can't see what they are going to do with the 0.96p they get from selling 4 shares though.

You can't be down more than 100%. If you need the SP to rise 4x what it is to break even you are 75% down, and you need a 300% rise to get back to break even. Simples.

I was interested when KDNC (ex REM) rose 100% the other day, and got a little excited (and peed off) when I worked out what the 13M shares I used to hold would be worth now. Then I realised they'd consolidated and I felt a whole lot better. OK, I'd still lost my shirt, but at least I hadn't lost out on a spectacular recovery since. That 5p party would be a £5 party now, a long way off.

I have to hope we get a decent recovery later this year, if UKOG can fund operations organically once current funding obligations are out of the way. I'm not sure I'll still be around if the recovery takes years.

If he's anything like me he spent it months ago. I used to get an annual bonus from ICI, paid in shares, and they were always sold immediately to pay back the overdraft I'd run up in anticipation.
