To summarise the hypocrisy of Europe and UK just recently they imposed 100% tariffs on Chinese cars coming in to protect our ‘car’ industry! This was supported by the majority.

How has Trump failed?? He is the US president… He is not the world president and the US people are sick of paying for the rest of the world’s problems! And they’re sick of the ridiculous tariffs the EU and others have put on the US for years!

He wants to boost US production which will have a few years of hurt but many years of gain! Something the UK couldn’t follow through with when they had Brexit!

Hornblower… to be better off than you are buying now the share price would need to dip below 219 in October as we’re getting a 9% divi yield in that time.

If you can guarantee the share dipping below that mark then good luck to you. I know all the historical data but I’m not confident you’ll be better off this year. In years gone by we had higher highs around this time.

Last year you could have bought now for 240 and sold after ex divi for 250 odd plus your div…

They literally did run out of ideas themselves which is why they seek help from elsewhere. It’s frightening! Obviously no one has all the answers but they’ve managed to turn a recovering economy into a negative one! Now that takes some skill… :)

They are losing this war quite badly now! Front lines are collapsing everyday and land is being lost rapidly now(some people still may not believe this because they don’t want to but unfortunately it’s happening)

We’ve given Ukraine nearly all we can bar troops on the ground(although there’s many foreign legion battalions fighting for Ukraine)

So what on earth would you do other than a deal where Ukraine lose land?

Send our troops in and start WW3? Because that’s the only hope for Ukraine to maintain territory! If you want that then God help you.

Russia sent a big warning yesterday with their hypersonic weapon strike, we do not possess anything like that! We cannot defend against it and it’s a scary thought!

We need to stay out of other peoples wars instead of encouraging it. We’re basically in a proxy war and Ukrainians are paying the price and people like you I expect are cheering that on.

Congrats on the recent predictions y11! As much as you talk some rubbish at times you called it pretty bang on recently.

All you posted for ages on this share was £10 by next year for along time so I wouldn’t criticise others either lol.

The issues with trading in times like this when world issues are at play is oil can move one way or the other in an instant. I’d rather currently be in at 4.09 than out but I’m not greedy and it’s paid me well.

Y11…. On the 19th Sept you SOLD for 415.69! I’m just making a note of this so I don’t forget lol.

Oh not Char :)…. despite all your moaning about Shell for years you surely did well out of it in the end? And if you have fully gone into Bp now you may have played a blinder(in time)

Despite Shell performing spectacularly you only ever complained and predicted the end of oil 4 years ago(I think the media got to you) I couldn’t help but feel you were just board and winding people up at times…

I was 45/55 in Shells favour(% of portifolio in oil) and it’s about 32/68 now given how well Shell has done or BP underplayed.

I think BP are seriously under valued now, it’s almost laughable when looking at the numbers. Still I do not lose any sleep over my oil stocks which is always nice.

With the savings BP make on paying less divi out due to having less shares in circulation why don’t they increase the amount payed out each quarter instead of waiting a year to review it.

I don’t mind buybacks as I personally think they’re safe guarding the company from a possible future where the company is not as profitable. I do agree with a higher div the share price would be higher but if the time comes we suddenly can’t pay that divi out due to decreasing profits the share price will have a melt down and it will be nearly impossible to stop the rot.

If a company pays the same amount out towards dividends every year but buys back 10% of shares also in a year then the following year you will get a bigger dividend as theres more money to share between less shares! So it does help…

And EPS is a huge factor of a company’s value on the market!
