I had quick glance at Annalisas history! He enters the chat when the share price is usually at a high after a big climb! He did it on IAG when it peaked and then started moaning! Did the same at VOD when it had gone up to 140! And now BP which he did the same earlier this year at a high!
It’s clearly someone who’s sold out or shorting and has the magical powers to talk a multi billion company down! Nothing but a disrupter, most likely a second account as they type in a particular way and use a woman’s name.
There’s really not much to Moan about with this share at the moment if you’re long!

Information on these forums can be as valuable as anywhere else! There is some extremely knowledgable balanced posters around who do not have agendas like media sources! You just need to weigh up who they are when taking that information in.

Where else do you go for credible info nowadays? The main news loved jumping all over oil when it was struggling last year! They were as bearish as anyone and the future was doomed…

Sites like Oilprice.com have that many opinions swaying daily it just becomes a joke! You can pick anyone to suit an agenda you have at the time!

Personally I just look at the big picture and keep things very simple with the ftse 100 but I’d be lying if I said I’d never taken someone’s info on board! Surely that’s why we joined these forums? I’m fortunately a lot better off for it as well.

The issue I have is it has effected the decisions of a few posters on here! Sure you can blame them for not researching themselves and relying on others but it’s still not right! They took this info in and sold out because of it! A few waiting for that 260 gap…many waiting for that 290 point!

There’s a big difference between the people think this will go down to the ones who want it to go down!
I have never gone back to a share I’ve sold out in and started coming up with every reason under the Sun as to why it will drop! We’ve heard it all in here over the last 6 months!
The main reason it bugs me is I know people have sold out as a few posters here gained some credibility for calling a dip which coincided with the delta variant…
Those poor people have now missed the start of the big climb due to the absolute nonsense posted on here.
Even the other week we had ceders saying back down to 310…BP don’t value themselves at 340 as they’re not doing share buybacks! Interestingly he’s not come back to admit he was wrong as they’re definitely buying back well above 340!

I doubt it will have any effect judging by the ADR price this evening! Also the news was to be expected and it’s a little drop in the ocean! In fact if it was costing BP money it can only be seen as a positive unfortunately for the company.
5% is huge btw! That won’t happen :)

Nobody knows the buy sell ratio as sells can appear as buys and buys as sells! Quoting the numbers is pointless. Also most big trades are always delayed so they never match up correctly.
To say those with big money know better is quite funny! People with big money sold out of EUA at 0.6p and the share hit 40p within a year. They certainly didn’t know better!

Annalisa you stated earlier this year this share will never break 325 unless there’s a 50% divi increase. That went well…you sound like someone who’s desperate for it to drop!
I don’t see 500 this year but 400 is easily achievable depending on q3s results and direction the company goes with its extra cash.

This years q2 update was on the 19th July! Last year it was on the 9th July!
It will come soon but looking back they’ve never stuck to a particular date.

Reminds me of the many posts me saw at 310 very recently!

Oil only dropped due to covid! the rest was just noise and people were victims to that.

I’m surprised those threads stayed as long as they did! They’re usually banned on other stocks straight away! Understandable on small mcap AIM companies but BP?…lol.
I guess it’s got a little too positive for their liking! Interestingly a few familiar names missing from it as well this week! I hope you all know how corrupt these forums are! It’s all a big game regardless of how small a difference it makes!

Indeed stock! But the media were pumping that fear as little as afew weeks ago! I totally agree we are at the end of this now, hospital admissions are dropping back quite quickly too!
The interesting part for me is what BP and Shell do with all this money now! :)

For me this is mostly due to the fear of another winter covid lockdown looking less likely as the days go by.
The world is returning to normal, we’re finally living with this and everyone needs oil & gas like happy highlighted!
Whilst before when we hit 330 we had new variants coming out each month to spook us coupled with the fact people were 80% up and happy to take a profit.
I said last week I think this is just the start of a big breakout! And nothings changed my mind as yet :)

Your short sightedness is really quite staggering zac0. You pick and choose your years/ quarters to suit a continued negative agenda here whilst the company is making a silly amount of money which will reward the shareholders in good time.
The clever people here will be judging how the company is doing and won’t be bothered about fluctuations in the share price at the moment.

You have to look at the reasons why it dropped! Everyday for days/months we had new stories of new variants shutting down the world one country at a time! Scare story after scare story! This share didn’t drop for any other reason! Despite the likes of ceders(I think) saying it was the charts(still makes me laugh)
Going forward I understand the winter is the time that this could happen again but so far the chances are diminishing daily!

If you’re happy with the profit then fair enough but i feel a few have been spooked by seeing that profit drop and will miss out on the real gain.

Remember Pig this share was 180ish last year and jumped to 300 odd in a few months! Obviously the share will have fall backs from these sudden rises!

If you’re happy with the profits there’s no harm in taking them though.
For me we’re at the start of a big Lego up, sure there might be dips to come which people can take advantage of but I’d personally be in right now than out.

You’re not thinking straight poorgadgee! You can have far more than 20k in a share isa it’s just you can only add 20k to it each year! You can switch 100k from one share to another in your ISA
I did this when I got lucky with EUA! I put a lot in BP and RDS last Oct/Nov from the profits.

On a bad market day I knew this chat would be busier driven by two people! Lol

Either way as bad days go this is a good day for BP so far! Showing a lot of strength in my opinion! The small pull back from the rise from 292 which some missed was inevitable.

You were the one spouting rubbish for months about there will be no divi increase, shouting people down! You were wrong! I don’t like people who try to manipulate others it’s that simple!
I’ve been very fortunate with my investing, made 90 bags last year on a freak share because I stuck to the fundamentals! I could sell out of BP now and be 450% on my leveraged position from October and 55% up on my main holding but I won’t as there is far more to come here!
Even now you’re ignoring the fact that you don’t know what BP will do if oil remains well above $60! They could hike the divi up in one go!
Everyone knows your opinion here but it’s just rinse and repeat! If I had no faith in Looney, no faith in oil, no faith in the future outlook I certainly wouldn’t be posting daily! I’d just sell and be gone!
