I may be wrong in thinking you are a relatively young guy, but if you are I will just say this, there is no substitute for experience, it cannot be taught, and only comes via the passing of time. I first started dabbling in the market nearly forty years ago, the shares in those days were physical tactile ones. The following years have all been about learning some of the tricks especially with reference to AIM. Losing money is part of the game, and if I can help 'Newbies' from falling into some of the traps I did I will. Just enter into some trades with your eyes well and truly open, especially those classed 'high risk'.

Regarding Covid I could have answered that question. I agree with you on W,N and hope it's all they hope it will be, and indeed if that is the case it should be sold. Remember RBD is an Investment Company unlike UJO.
Sure, there will be interested parties looking with great interest at West Newton, but (and it's a big but) there will be many, many hurdles to jump before any realistic offers are made, and hard cash exchanged. The spade work will have to be done by RBD otherwise any 'offers' will be such not benefit the shareholders. This project will have to be de-risked enormously before that occurs, prove without doubt the Commerciality of W.N and will in my opinion, and yes experience be years away.

Now, now auld Heid (Scottish term of endearment) , it wasn't meant to be personal. It's just that I really feel sure you know that the Dynamic Duo could 'sell sand to the arabs'. A proper Q and A session would be live, with no easy escape, not one with pre chosen questions.

I agree with smokie...not only SNG but another of my favourites ODX (up 20% today). Still plenty of time to get in.
This here needs another slight rise to be up to 0.64p, the last placing price on 1st Feb and then hopefully take off. I doubt it will go much above 1p this year and that will be around my exit price once again.

cloves....best take no notice of me then, as you already have made up your mind about RBD. It's obviously going to be a roaring success. For your information I do have shares here, have had previously, and sold when the I had made my target percentage profit price. Those who have been here for years know that. Most recently I bought back in at 0.4p.
Just beware of some of those who bought in at around 1p. They are well under water and will tell you exactly what they want you to hear for their own selfish reasons. They are known as RAMPERS. You'll come to hear that expression many times.
Just as a matter of interest check out 88E, Rockhopper and Borders and Southern. nearer to West Newton check out UJO. Look at how long they have been in this business, and how their shareholders have been rewarded. Check out their RNS's over the years and the many 'promising finds' and JAM TOMORROW 'S they have made. One exception in England has been UKOG.

cloves....I'm not suggesting anything of the sort. I would say almost all directors of Oil Exploration companies start out with good intentions, but historically very few actually succeed in their ambitions. And for those that don't there is always the 'Plan B' available, which many of them take. This a very high risk business and any assurances should be taken with a sack of salt.
Perhaps you should check up on the many small oil companies that have been around for many many years without returning a single penny to shareholders.
Don't get me wrong RBD could be the one to stand out from the crowd, but as always DYOR.

And therein lies the perfect opportunity to drag this on for years and years. I hope not, but the possibility is there within the above sentence to be used for that eventuality if 'conditions' require it.

Yes cloves....plenty of imponderables to peruse in the West Newton Forward Plan on page 11 as you say.

Chris you may well be right but, there's a distinct possibility that there will be no news of any significance released in the coming weeks and months. Therefore with the market offering good returns elsewhere, many may decide to invest in those alternatives. If so we may see the current decline in the s.p continue for some time.
