What I am saying is that any sale will not achieve the price that many are hoping for and that a) there will be no dividend as West Newton/Rathlin will need a great amount of financing shortly (tens of millions put aside) and b) a prospective buyer knows that it will be at the earliest 2024/25 before any gas comes on stream, and c) the price of gas at that future date is completely unknown, So very likely many built in contingencies with a smallish upfront partial settlement of the financial package. That is why the possible delay, but as other posters have mentioned the treatment of keeping share holders informed is abysmal. No date or compensation should have been published, and shows the amateurish style of the directors up once more.

I think that we can safely conclude that the owners of the pipeline infra-structure tie in (Total) are not interested. Any company wishing to purchase will need to agree their consent and agree terms before final agreement. With Total that part of any deal would be a 'shoe in'.

In the medium to longer term, if the company believes that really good profits are on the horizon then the optimum play would be to buy back shares and burn them. The most they can buy back is just over 11M shares representing 10% of those available. Looking at a s.p of around 60-70p by Xmas if this route is taken.
