Nothing has really changed everything in place for Q4. Going to have a Labour Gov but that was expected, and HBR will be so diversified by the time Labour start to hammer the North Sea even more. Labour meeting lots of CEO this week the usual crowd of IT & A1 Companies who want Data Centres, but we have an Electricity Grid that cant cope, hence its raising Billions to upgrade, and is Years away. They are going to need Gas and Oil just like rest of the world so either from UK or Imports. Oil and Gas is a world wide commodity and now in HBR we will have a truly independent world wide Company. Don't think anything much happening other than a shake out of shareholders before we get listed in FTSE 100 IN q4.
There is to much reaction to outside events. We know the Oil is getting clobbered in North Sea, that is why Harbour are expanding outside this area and will be 60% GAS. The world is not ready for EV (Graphite mines in areas of great instability) Not ramping up. Canada hoping to get Graphite mines by 2028 started but still in Funding. China will be taxed out of Europe and USA on Graphite so this will slow EV. Hence Ford GM et al are all switching production to Hybrid as no one want Electric yet due to Grid capacity in both UK, US, and Europe. It will take 8 - 10 years before they can. Gas will be KING in Europe and HBR well placed with WD takeover Q4. The market is reacting to short term noise which creates a good buy op for those that believe that HBR has put in place a great business plan going forwards. On a political note I think Labour will have an issue with SNP in Scotland which may play out if Labour dont quite pull off a resounding win. Either way you are either behind HBR plan or NOT. I see Q4 as a turn point, and 2025 a possible switch away from FTSE to a USA listing. Linda Cook knows both the European and USA markets having lived and worked for years in both. I watch some of the comments and they seem to be to short term, maybe just looking for a quick profit, but if you study the plan you should be reading ahead.
Im sure a lot of ppl knew we have an election this year in July or by year end, so does America this was all priced in. Its an reaction to a Labour Gov, but will not have much effect on HBR as will be totally diversified by the last months of 2024, plus the Wintershall deal plus now a global play. It did not put off BOA from upping their stake. Harbour Energy PLC has announced a significant change in their shareholder structure, with Bank of America Corporation crossing a notable threshold in shareholding. On May 17, 2024, Bank of America increased its total holdings in Harbour Energy to 3.468563%.
I can see this moving across the pond on its listing once all deals are done as it will have very little reason to be based in UK.
