I have done some simple maths which I hope are right and if so may help others to understand.
I have 315 shares and they cost me £1399 = £4.44 each
I will be able to buy ( 315 shares divide by 29 x 25) = 271 shares for £271 £1 each
I will then have 586 shares at a total cost of £1670 EQUATES TO £2.85 per share
Any views on my maths???
My understanding is that that you would be offered new shares at about £1 each and these are added to your current holding.
So if you held 300 shares you would get 258 extra shares provided you take up the offer when it is given to you. If I am wrong I hope some kind soul will correct me.
Hi Help please .. I have 315 TUI shares spread between an ISA and a SIPP. As I see it I will be offered 271 new shares ( 315 shares divided by 29 then x 25 = 271. ) As the share price has fallen so low would it be wise to buy some more now or just simply wait and take up the offer when it is presented. Lastly I assume Hargreaves lansdown will contact me in this regards.
Thank you
It is a fact that a very big majority of us take a holiday each year for granted. That may be a camping holiday in Cumbria or a two week trip to Florida. These holidays have become a integral and accepted part of our life. Most people have had a year without a holiday and many have had the frustrations of delayed refunds or other dubious practices. The bounce back will be absolutely massive once a inoculation programmes start to take effect .People will rush to fly or cruise or whatever else they do. The travel companies and airlines know this and cannot wait (nor can I as a investor in over 20 travel companies).
I have some TUI shares which have gone up and down. I read many people trade on a almost daily basis. Taking profits when shown. I know some others buy when the stocks are low to lower the average price held. I am inexperienced and just been hanging on so would welcome some views on how you trade in general. Thanks very much

With the Carnival share being so volatile I have a question. Currently the share is below what I paid (Paid 1300 now 1150 at time of writing ).... so would you sell the stock and wait till the share reaches bottom and rebuy from there OR would you keep the shareholding and buy more and get a lower average. I would love to read your strategy. Thanks
