We were offered a 41% bonus on shares FACT. I was not "taking a chance" . I am let down by First moving the goal posts.
What research was necessary ..... I am not wanting the world then crying.. I am wanting what First promised,.. so are many others if you read the threads here .
I agree and I openly admit I have over the last few months I have been buying First shares with a view to a 41p extra return. That sounds greedy but I guess I am not alone. To be fair I didnt and dont know what the close out date for holding shares was or is but I took the chance anyway. I feel let down now and we must remember this carrot of 41% was dangled to approve the recent sell offs they did in the USA.. Thanks First !!
I have 7000 shares and do not understand what is going to happen ? Am I asked to sell at 105p which is just a few pence above the current sp. Why would I do that. Having done that I have no shares left if they divi up the £50 million to share owners. I must be really thick so please help ... thanks
I keep looking at this board in anticipation of a dividend pay out or similar but nothing is said or mentioned by FGP... really strange.
I live near the Humber estuary and flights from and to Europe (Amsterdam, Bruseels etc) and North America plus Mexico and Caribbean pass over me in a air corridor. A year ago the skies were empty of flights but this afternoon on a dog walk I counted 17 of either aircraft trails or actual planes all plying accross the Atlantic. Anyone who says TUI shares or IAG shares should be sold are wide of the mark. My crystal ball says 5 years from now you would have wished you kept any travel shares bought in the last 18 months. Thats my sothsayer prediction>>>

Basically because after the issue more shares are in circulation and as each share is a portion of the company each share (of the cake so to speak) is worth less. Also any company that does this is normally financially strapped so confidence is low. Await the bounce back over the next few weeks (Hopefully)
Think it is 30p share but not sure when you must be holding these by. Might be a wise move to buy some quick
I know all travel related shares are being hit but most seem fairly resilient and some are even showing an upward trend in recent days . Why is this one doing so badly and no sign of recovery..... any info welcome as I hold a few shares Thanks
Any info on the long and large drop ???
Tell me why I should take up the offer of new shares at 121p when I can trade normally at this same price. Am I missing something here. I am not experienced in shares.. also what is Primary bid which has been mentioned in some recent posts..
Thank you for any helpful replies
I am down across TUI IAG EZJ and Jet2 by about 7% overall. I have the temptation to sell some and rebuy
at a lower price but its always a crystal ball. What happens if I sell then the price goes up... I end up buying higher that I originally held. I am in for the long term so I will wait. I am 70 at end of 2022 so thats a marker I have laid down for these shares and my portfolio which is 30% other stocks and 70% travel related. Fingers crossed !
When you see a share dropping what do you do ... ??
1. Do nothing and ride it out
2. Sell some or all shares and buy back hopefully at a lower price
2. Do nothing but top up when / if price bottoms out
I have been deliberating so would love your strategy comments .. Thanks guys
