Fwiw, my take from that article is that it seemed to have more to do with the Rinehart/Aussie culture dynamic and whether any U.K. gov involvement in that via Sirius might provide for any negatives or insinuations toward Rinehart. Good morning to you too, Viaticum. The simple answer to your question is I don't know tbh. I guess it depends how quickly all the determinations and data are collated. If it is as straightforward as we might hope, it could be sometime today, although perhaps more likely, first thing tomorrow. Either way, as bond holders are not generally shareholders, those not already sold, are very likely to be watching today's action carefully. As we know the market dislikes uncertainty, so all the while any uncertainty persists we can expect some volatility. That's still unknown. Until the results are published, and whilst in the grand scheme of things nowhere near as dilutive as the bonds themselves, we won't know how many additional 'incentive shares' and 'premium to parity' shares are also issued as a consequence of this offer also. Nothing to do with MMs, Tony. Right now they are just making the market (the clue is in the name, lol). There is plenty of volatility to generate their spreads without employing any of their box of tricks. Fear and greed are doing it. Good morning, 50glass. The investors in the ShadowFall fund have had this report since the first week of Dec. The share price then was ~170. It think it�s apparent that some of them will have done well. The wider release of this report now suggests to me that significant sums have already been made and shares need to be returned. The last thing any institutional shorter wants is to be caught in a short squeeze as they attempt to close out their positions, so they need sellers to buy from. One way of finding those sellers is for fear to strike existing holders - you know, the punters like us on the retail side - who panic sell rather than see their dwindling wad diminish further. It would be very helpful if something caused holders to be spooked and so sell wouldn�t it? Cheers, per ardua ad astra

T Rowe Price have been a major supporter of IQE for quite a few years. Indeed, only a few months ago they rummaged down the back of the sofa, so that they could support the company�s placing at 140p. As such, it is clear that they have a long term horizon for their investment here. And whilst it may not be particularly convenient for investors with a shorter timeline for their holding, it would appear T Rowe Price are playing a clever short term game, whereby they lend shares to hedge funds that want to sell short - quite reasonably causing the price to fall, at which point they scoop up some more shares at a significantly lower price than they recently bought in the placing at. Which all goes to show that in this game, even those that ostensibly appear to be on the same side, are ultimately only looking out for themselves. These markets are deep waters. With the exception of Valiant Capital Management - who reduced their position by just under 1 million during the bloodshed - no other fund has indicated what actions they may or may not have taken on Wed. Despite having until 15:30 the next day to declare positions to the FCA, for some reason, most funds currently short did not seem able to do so. 2 big trades today. 10:07 - 25/01 Buy 1141814 109.40p 11:29 - 25/01 n/a 2734618 108.40p - - - - 2 further significant trades made today. One consisting of 492,482 @ 11:41 and another, totalling 1,664,161 @ 14:31 - along with the two you highlight above, all made seemingly via the same block volume provider using a dark aggregator in Dublin. As ever, can�t ascribe definate buy/sell determination. However subsequent price action is suggestive of buys. With luck, it�ll be some shorts closing through a proxy, and we�ll get some answers tomorrow evening if so. Lol. Hiya, Chesh. Yep, you were wrong. Whilst not trading full time any longer and so not subbing my CFD provider to the same extent any more, I still have more than enough lines of stock to keep on top of in my portfolios. I just don�t tend to comment on those perfunctory holdings which just either sit there doing their thing or, tend to be somewhat more transient in residence. Fwiw, I�ve held IQE since late spring last year, and having more than tripled my holding yesterday by taking advantage of what I see is a sentiment driven overreaction, I now have a larger percentage of my worth tied up in a singular AIM company than is the norm for me. As such, I�m paying considerably more attention to what others are thinking and saying than perhaps I normally would. Hence my presence here. Hope all good with you. Don�t leave it too long if you�re looking to take a position here. One consequence of being a darling stock on AIM is the movement in either direction can be rather disproportionate. Quite right, bandit. The fact is IQE supply many different clients. The flip side of one of those clients being extremely high profile is, when one of their products may not sell as well as had been hoped, certain acute market participants will be aware that negative sentiment can be radiated onto its suppliers. IQE are under pressure right now because of their association with AAPL. There can�t be many longs here that weren�t delighted with that situation when it all looked positive and promising however. People need to look beyond the current situation and accept that the market will do its thing. If they are real investors in the IQE business proposition, then they will know the company has many more irons in the fire - over a variety of technological applications, and current share price pressures are no more than a bump in the road. The company is well funded and well placed to exploit opportunities ahead. Conversely, if they�re just speculating in the market, they need to man up and accept that, perhaps, their timing might not have been as judicious as it could have been. We�re all swimming with sharks and life isn�t fair. We need educate ourselves in order that we might become better placed to deal with it. Regards, per ardua ad astra
