Timing of Sath departure28 Apr 2026 14:01
Excellent news.
The investment thesis of a large addressable market, with no red flags, is intact.
Indeed, as the news flow strengthens the issue becomes more one of a possible inflexion point, rather than merely future prospects.
I can't help feeling the departure of a CFO is significant. There's absolutely no suggestion that Sath left under a cloud. Scancell is nothing if not stable - the board composition attests to that. No company parts ways with their CFO without very good reason, and Scancell is hardly likely to be the exception.
A listing on Nasdaq is a discrete, if challenging, event. It would need a strong board and, crucially, the right CFO. I don't see any alternative factor, such as partnering, providing adequate explanation for Sath's departure (if boards were to be "reduced" as a consequence of a partnering, then that would happen at the time of the partnering, not months before).
I think something's afoot with the departure, and I think it's linked to a possible re-listing.
