From 27 September 2017 - Interim Results

The group's revenue growth is now expected to be around 80%, up from our previous guidance of around 60%. Revenue growth from the boohoo brand is expected to be at the upper end of previous guidance at around 30%. Revenue growth from the PrettyLittleThing brand is now expected to be approximately 150% above the 12 month revenue to 28 February 2017 of £55 million (double the previous guidance of 75%). The balance of the group's growth will come from the Nasty Gal brand. As a result of significantly better-than-expected revenue growth from PrettyLittleThing and our investment in price, promotion and marketing, we now expect group adjusted EBITDA margins to be between 9% and 10%.

Please note it goes up from 60% to 80% with no RNS released between Trading Update on 8 June 2017 and Interim Results date on 27 September 2017.

As a result of very strong trading momentum in Q1, we now expect Group revenue growth for the full year to February 2018 to be around 60%(5), ahead of previous guidance of revenue growth approaching 50%. We expect Group EBITDA margins to be in line with previous guidance at around 10%."

And in September 2018's interim results Boohoo came out with increased sales of 50% without issuing a RNS before the interim results.

That's your evidence. Boohoo don't have to release a RNS before the interim results when sales have increased.

Outlook and guidance from June 2018 RNS Trading Update

Trading in the first quarter of the 2019 financial year has been strong and in line with our expectations. For the full year, we continue to expect group revenue growth to be 35% to 40% with adjusted EBITDA margin between 9% to 10%. All other guidance for the current financial year and our medium term guidance to deliver sales growth of at least 25% per annum and 10% EBITDA margin are unchanged.

Bricks92 - so what's the answer?

AIM4 - AIM Rules are to protect shareholders and not potential buyers so hence it's about releasing information which could decrease the share price. I've already given evidence of two examples of where Boohoo results were well ahead of expectations in 2017 and 2018 and there was no update prior to the interim results date.

Inferno - I should say at this point I've been working on court cases for more than 15 years. My job is to research case law for Barristers to use in court. So I know what I'm talking about.

I presume Steve is a Barrister. No, I didn't think so.

Inferno - it's so obvious. Rule 11 is to protect shareholders in case the share price could go down not up.

Inferno - think about it. When do shareholders need the most protection, yes, from share prices going down and not from share prices going up.

Inferno - The AIM Rules are to protect shareholders from the share price going down and not from the share price going up. I've already given you two examples of 2017 and 2018 when Boohoo were well ahead of expectations and Boohoo never provided an update before the interim results date.

Inferno - I bought my 360,000 shares in Boohoo in 2015 and have held them ever since. I hold them through every up and down. I'm not interested in trading. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing, reality is completely different. From every down Boohoo has always come back higher and stronger. Boohoo is a great growth share and I will be holding them for many, many years to come.

I have total faith in the Board, they're a brilliant board, work extremely hard and do a fantastic job with Boohoo. More credit to them.

The Board told us all exactly what was going to happen in the RNS dated about 28 July 2020 i.e. that the interim results, the factory status and the independent review outcome would all be done on 30 September 2020. Despite knowing all that, posters on here have wasted time and energy speculating about an update when it was obvious it wasn't going to happen. The moral of the story here is don't get sucked into other people's speculations.

Inferno - no you're wrong. Boohoo don't have to post a trading update for upwards projections. They did one last year however that was the only one they've ever done. It's not imperative to do one despite what the Aim Rules may say. Boohoo love to surprise on the day as they did with 2017 and 2018 interim results. 2017 was 106% increase. 2018 was 50% increase. Both much higher than expectations and no RNS was released prior to the interim results date.

I have had Boohoo shares since 2015. I have 360,000 shares. I research them every day. The SP is fine. This often happens with the Boohoo share price. It gets into ranges just like now. The range is £2.90 to £3 and once it consolidates at £3 then the next range will be £3 to £3.10 until £3.10 is consolidated. It will probably stay like this until interim results day on 30 September 2020. Interim Results will include factory status and independent review outcome. Boohoo will be sticking to this date like glue.

Zebudee - India and Japan are also ahead of the UK in the economy ratings of the world and will also always be ahead of the UK. So sorry, the UK is never going to make it to number 1 economy of the world. Sadly, I think Brexit will be the breakup of the UK. Scotland will go first, followed by Northern Ireland and then I think Wales will go too. For me, that's the greatest sadness of Brexit.

Zebudee - the EU, including the UK, already had a free trade deal with Japan.

Zebudee - The UK will never be number 1 economy in the world. China, USA, Germany and probably France will always be ahead of the UK.

Zebudee - Boohoo already sell to Japan. The UK have always sold to Japan even when part of the EU.

spoon_key - I think CAP-XX are right to go into manufacturing because then they are in control of the whole product. CAP-XX have always done some manufacturing, however, they didn't have the money to expand it sufficiently. It was only when Murata offered them their automated production lines for bu**er all that CAP-XX could really expand their manufacturing side. These are automated production lines which would cost CAP-XX a fortune if they had to buy them new. These production lines are a game changer for CAP-XX and will make them profitable for the first time ever. This is a great opportunity for CAP-XX and their shareholders. Supercapacitors are being used more and more worldwide. CAP-XX are getting Murata's customers and also intend to use the automated production lines to manufacture their own 3v prismatic supercpacitor.

This has all come at the right time for CAP-XX and for us shareholders. The CAP-XX court case against Maxwell will be a bonus. Tesla own Maxwell so they can afford to pay any award/settlement. CAP-XX will win this case because they have already won the same case against Ioxus and settled a same case with Cornell Dubilier Electronics (CDE).

CAP-XX are about to take off and this is the time to hold. I, for one, will be holding for many years to come.

spoon_key - I would think CAP-XX will settle out of court if the offer is right. Negotiations are always ongoing throughout court cases. For me, Panasonic and Samsung could be possible future court cases.
