I would have hedged at much at possible for 2019 at 80 last autumn and thought Enq would done it.
Even if it would limit profits if oil went to 100 then they could have continued hedge for 2020.

Dont understand at all this more risky way with less hedging and doubt banks sets limits at Enquest because they done bigger hedging before.

Yes, now its a risky position again but I do believe in higher oil price in spring and once Enq FCF starts to bite better on the debt this should have a massive potential.

And another Magnus deal would speed up things even more if that would start generate cash in 2 years from now.

they always maintained about 9 month hegde before but last info in Dec that was shorter horizon.
I think it would in banks interest to let Enquest hedge at longer horizon at good levels.

I read on advfn forum, some days ago American idiot posted he been in contact with Enquest about the lack of hedging. And Enquest had replied " Brent was in backwardation"

Thats the reason the hedged shorter horizon then normal in last autumn?

To me it doesnt make sense as credit rating is better then ever in last 2-3 years

Hi L3, Yeah. Unlucky with kraken issues. January seems to be same average as last 2 months. Problems can happen. If they only can paint a brighter future that after DC4 they estimate 35-40k it would be well received I guess.
