Yes it appears cheap but the price is the price and will be priced according to all known information and risk.

Reading the most recent RNS Interim Results I noticed a mention of Method C anyone know what this is?

During the first half of 2023, the Company also announced its Machine Learning teams had developed two unique methods (Method A and Method B) that could potentially lead to immediate performance improvements for existing BTC miners. A third improvement (“Method C”) is currently being assessed by a different QBT R&D group.

There is one small difference between ARB and QBT is that ARB were actually mining BTC (and ZEC).

ARB had and still have a regular income stream whereas QBT have none.

They have expenses though for the staff on the payroll who do didley squat AFAIK!

I have just re-iterated AWE from my Speculative to Bargepole watchlist.

Part of the problem is a general risk off due to interest rates and precious and industrial metal commodities are under pressure as well due cash/treasury yields and China Evergrande etc.

Also TRR is listed on AIM and that as far I'm concerned is a circus!

With the price falling so hard (again) the post consolidation placing will raise a lot less than they need, avoid!

The Company is proposing to issue up to 31,000,000 Shares (on a postConsolidation basis) (Placement Shares) at an issue price equal to 80% discount to the volume weighted average price per Share (on a post-Consolidation basis)

traded on the ASX during the seven (7) trading days immediately preceding the Meeting (Issue Price).

Is Method C the Chinese method?

Just read the letter and the meeting document, real shame but unfortunate for shareholders.

Many a company has good products but fails like this the trick is not getting caught up in the technicals and focus on the business acumen of the people running the show. Easier said than done.

So yeah Splunk in 2012 floated at $17 per share and now taken out at $157

Splunk revenue last year was $3.8Bn

Darktrace revenue last year was £429M

So by revenue Splunk is some 7 times larger than Darktrace

Hi Stanleys, that's the main difference 100% as opposed to 20% guaranteed.

Getting 11.5% for 3 years + 20% is 54.5% so a potential net loss.

The offer to convert smacks of a ponzi scheme where new investors are required to pay of others.

Cisco Systems made their largest ever acquisition yesterday buying Splunk for 28 Billion dollars in CASH.

Wikipedia - Splunk Inc. is an American software company based in San Francisco, California, that produces software for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated data via a web-style interface.

Splunk is in the Enterprise Security space so deals like this must support the DARK share price.

I got a Primary Bid email on a LINV bond today and ended up here as part of research.

First impressions if it sounds too go to be true it probably is!

What business are they in that they can pay 11.5% and pay out 100% of capital after 3 years?

If I apply for a BTL mortgage say with Nationwide BS as below I get offered 6.19% for 5 years

Initial rate - 6.19%

Initial term - 5 Year Fixed

Follow on rate - 8.99% variable

Product fee -2% of loan

Loan to Value (LTV) - 80%

How can LINV generate enough income to pay 11.5% on a bond and pay shareholder dividends and pay wages and all other costs?

Ignore that comment I think that was targeted at me.
