RE: Quite a large cleared drilling site28 Apr 2021 11:33
TbTT - yes, surely the idea of inward sloping holes from an exterior ring would be two fold, slightly longer intersections and more useful when trying to correlate with target image from mag data?
MarkSidley '. I have explained myself on many occasions' Actually, very rarely - normally lacking any detail whatsoever
However - you said this in August last year re Vast / Zimbabwe? ------ but today, during a global pandemic, you think the deal is imminent 'My current belief is that they are waiting for some internal problems to be resolved before they sign the deal. The company is hugely confident it will be signed once that is completed in fact I got that info from the horse's mouth. But, why is it taking so long to resolve those internal matters? I just do not understand how it can possibly take so long. What could really be a problem internally for it to take almost a year to resolve? It appears Zim has a bad method of management because it is surely in there interest to get those matters resolved asap.'
MarkSidley - Personally, I would love it if VAST as a company do well (which would reflect in the share price) That would mean they are productive and contributing to the Romanian economy through employment and taxes
The parallels with WRES are amazing, producing mine - not hitting targets, Atlas CLN, announce consolidation, spike, Atlas conversion, retreat, consolidate, retreat further Is this a replay?
RobSaunders No more placings.. what happens when/if Atlas convert? Cash positive when? Increase in production which means higher revenues Money from Zimbabwe are you in fantasy land? Proof? NeW banking arrangments with Tier One bank they've been knocked back twice? Atlas paid off from new banking facility see above. Any timescale? Higher prices from the higher production sold to third parties, not Mercuria contractual agreement, so no New production from new mines in Romania how far into the future does your crystal ball look
Well done to those who have made a few £€$ - but your post is comedy gold
Mike, I dont think JC is trying to lead anyone up the path, he's just a bloodhound who thinks he's got a scent, but he can only find something if its there in the first place - the drill will decide and even then that wont prove commercialty, only increase confidence If the oilman part of your moniker is accurate you know what I mean, great oil shows and logging data dont prove viability
From the 16th Dec RNS First Pass model of Kimberlite Pipe
'Data from the RC holes was reconciled with the ground gravity data to construct a three-dimensional model of the kimberlite pipe. The best fit model showed an East - West trending body gently dipping to the east with a surface expression of 80 x 40m and 'Precision work on the gravity data also discovered an additional anomaly to the east, which could be an extension of the kimberlite pipe and will be drilled in the New Year.'
JC again describing the new holes being drilled 200m to the east - It shouldn't be a surprise - but for an AIM listed compnay to be doing exactly what it has previously hinted at is, in reality, almost unique!!! Mentioning Marsfontein and Sugarbird again is just confirmation that he's tracking the same dyke system and the more holes in this small area will, at worst, confirm data re the mag surveys, which will be useful in itself due to the length of the dyke
If I was looking for a rampy reason for the photo - then what a coincidence that two of the mines mentioned, Jwaneng and Orapa are both operated by Debswana, which just happens to be a JV between DeBeers and Botswana govt.
Morning all, interesting photo from JCs Twitter - showing him at the heart of explorers who have been responsible for diamond discoveries in the past. https://twitter.com/JAHC1/status/1386531442805645313 It looks like the chap kneeling next to JC is the same Trevor Mashiolane who is the project geologist at Thorny River?
He builds and keeps relationships with those who know what they're doing - that's a sign of both a good man and a good manager imo
RE: rumours of WRES’s demise are greatly exaggerated23 Apr 2021 11:29
And did the tooth fairy just make those tonnes of tungsten (concentrate) miraculously appear from thin air - or has it been mined, crushed, and processed at some time in the recent past?
So they either produced more in Q1, or are producing more in Q2 - either is positive
nbul1- now I know your talking bull$ - 88e are an oil exploration company that havent as yet found commercial quantities of oil. They do not make a profit. Fact
RE: Kimberlite indicators at new site...22 Apr 2021 09:57
Totally agree Thorny - simple video but much better explanation than given by most mining co and then seeing how quickly - literally on the spot- that first stage analysis is done. When you consider each sample bag only has a volume of a little over 18 litres (and this was exactly what they did with the River Pipe), I find it pretty amazing and very positive that they found any diamonds from such small samples
RE: Kimberlite indicators at new site...21 Apr 2021 14:46
Tiger, I know comparisons to Marsfontein may be premature but in the doc that Castaway linked, iirc the average price per carat from that find was only around $130 - with JC being positive re quality of those found in the River Pipe drill sample, I would think that in the current market $400 per carat would be plausible. Thoughts?
