An interesting point raised by SteveTTF on twitter is the possibility of backdated compensation for unitisation if the Colter prospect is found to extend into licenses previously exploited from Wytch Farm. In this case Corallian could be due retrospective compensation payments for their share of oil already sold. I hadn't heard of it before but I googled it. Here.....Unitisation occurs when licensees of oil and/or gas reserves pool their individual interests in return for an interest in overall unit. It is then operated by a single company on behalf of group. This happens when a field lies under different licences with differing equity interests.

True Selfish. I reached the conclusion long ago that trolls like Persimmon are environmentalist campaigners who post from an ideological point of view. Their aim is to dissuade investors and attempt to starve the company of funds by spreading unsubstantiated negativity and pessimism. These boards are full of them. Every oil company has them. The only way to combat them is to filter them and totally disengage. Arguing with them gives them the oxygen they need.

If Wick is a failure then MMs will drop all the related stocks 20% or so. RBD will drop significantly to trigger stops and scare bedwetters into selling their stock cheap but you won't be able to buy in significant quantities. You will get NT to buy repeatedly until they take it up again in the afternoon. Don't expect to "fill your boots" cheap. They won't let you.

Your last post sums up exactly why I'm now 100% invested in RBD and won't touch anything else on AIM again. Mainly because the bods constantly stiff shareholders and it's happened to me too many times now. Currently getting shafted by Sefton on the AAOG dog but that will be the last one and it's only a £2.5k position. I hold 30Million RBD. S&S have far more clout than I have in influencing the bods of the companies they invest in and they will be given inside info and access to data that as retail investors we would never get to see. Many of their investments are in private companies anyway so we wouldn't be able to buy them if we wanted to. Through RBD I am now invested in a whole bunch of drills and projects using their inside information and industry knowledge and experience. As Stephen said, the boys are respected in the industry because after the oil price crash, while they were at M&G only they were still talking to Oilers who needed finance. That mutual respect is important. I don't have the resources or knowledge or inside info that these lads have and that's why I've been getting shafted on AIM. That's why I'm in for the long haul and confident of multiples of return on my investment over the next five years or so. M&G Prudential in here for £3Million at 0.85 so it's a gift at these prices. Anybody getting in now is very fortunate indeed. My average on my 30Mill is about 0.75 but not worried. Not worried at all. I'll just let the boys get on with it. GLA

I sort of agree with the follow the crowd philosophy but I more think it's speculators following the volume irrespective of fundamentals. Traders and opportunists know the shares with big followings of happy clappers and they buy in expecting spikey action which then becomes a self fulfilling prophecy as their speculative buying creates the spikes they want. I'm not a trader myself and am not keen on spikey action. I've been here for a year and looking for some serious value creation next year with 8 drills by mid 2019. It would help if the company can solve this classification problem where the likes of IG, Halifax, Lloyds do not allow trading in RBD. If that can be solved I think we would see an associated substantial increase in volume.

The temporary drop will be short lived. It's impatient Pi's/Traders selling to chase rainbows elsewhere. There's a few risers in the small cap o n g space currently but they'll be back down again soon. Most rainbows are fitted with painful spikes. Beware.

More cash in bank than expected. As stated, £9.5Mill at June plus £4.8Mill raised early Sep. The company must now be sat on circa £13Mill minimum after taking up the additional option in Danube. Prudential M&G were obviously briefed on plans for the most likely next investments and been satisfied of commerciality before stumping up their £3Mill. Expecting one or two or more new investment announcements before Christmas. All looking very secure here. Impressed with the professionalism and integrity of the BoD so far. Doing what they said they will do. Security of my capital is more important than spikey SP performance at this stage and all in here should be happy to hold currently. GLA genuine investors.

Also got Grizzly Island drill to come on the Cali play too. Munroe Swell also updip I believe. So much going on here it's hard to keep up. Success in the bank for future monetisation is what I'm looking for here. Couldn't care less about SP growth for now. Keeping it down here just gives me the opportunity to buy more as I liquidate other assets. I'm in for the big monetisation with S&S. Tired of chasing these little roulette plays in the AIM casino. I don't give two fks if RBD performs like a fund for now. I'll get my reward when the "fund" is sold. Firm and safe hold for me here. Never felt safer in any AIM play before.

the assets being purchased and the management strategy is so value accretive. Currently my holding is 0.7% of the company at $35 Mill Mcap. I'm betting that this Mcap will be up to $300-400 Mill in 2-3 years or so when monetisation is on the cards. Even if I've been diluted another 100% by then by raises for more assets then I'll take 0.35% of £400Mill! Thanks very much.

Indeed, $100 oil being talked about again. Our Cali play could turn out to be very big indeed. Roll on the next drills. Took some more here today to round up my holding to 30 Million. That's more money than I've ever put into any other AIM company. But RBD isn't your average AIM company. I'm sick of standing in d0g**** that drops in the days after I buy. Bid is 0.8925 but advertised at 0.85

Some people need to grasp an understanding of the basics before venturing into the markets. The RNS has the box "other" ticked to specify the type of TR1. At the side it clearly is stated "placing shares". Multiply the amount of shares lower down, 325 odd mill by 0.85p and this gives the £3Mill that M&G took exactly. DYOR!!!

Strong buying this morning and actual bid for a mill is 0.89 not the 0.85 advertised.

Thanks for clearing that up Nom. I hadn't researched the connection. A great indictment from a major institutional investor. More to follow I'd say. The City will be watching very closely now.

This is actually the notification of the M&G holding that they took at the placing. Prudential must be acting for them. Shares 352,941,176 @ 0.85 = £3Mill. Box is ticked to indicate that the shares are new placing shares. We already knew about it, but it's a massive vote of confidence in the integrity of the BoD and the company strategy. Safest hold on AIM. Adding on any dips and will hold until the boys liquidate the assets or sell the company for maximum return.
