Still have my previous shares in FRES and HOC since PM correction at near enough top. Still have free capital for when an opportunity presents. Barrick definitely has potential, especially with rumours of taking over newmont

How much would you recommend putting into miners when they are 9.8p, Obviously this comes with risk, but given your broker advised you how much is worth putting in Risk/benefit ie. with portfolio of lets say 200k

Pan American silver also a solid company, question is would you buy before report after closing bell tonight

Any thoughts on Endevours earning report tomorrow ? Would only assume all miners will report good profits

After having a look at the 2011 gold chart, similar trend emerges. However, Dow keeps rising and people are all saying the dow bound to crash at some point. I really doubt trump is going to let this happen, given the CPI number release this friday which i assume will be poor, there would definitely be some talk around the US government reopening and poor labour market. Ive ended up topping up HOC shares... only about a week late but believe 400 is around the corner

I rushed and bought on friday before close and FRES took a beating on Monday. Still have shares at 25.80 but a while to go before that breaks even. Tomorrows another day hope goul face powell says something good. Bullish for gold

I am half tempted to buy before close today, rate cuts are already priced in for next week but if FED QE then it looks good for PM. European banks are a mess i would only assume QE is coming. Thanks all for your thoughts earlier, much appreciated.

Hypothetically, considering mines are undervalued by far. Lets say with around 150k capital. Would you invest all this amount in mines long term or have 100k long term in miners with some capital in other commodities ? Oil stocks seem to be hit and miss. Any thoughts

I did the exact same Quoth, sold half of fres shares last friday before Q3 report incase of bad news. Stupidly did not end up selling yesterday morning to at least take 8% profit and buy back before close near enough the same price i bought on friday. Like they say take the stairs up and the elevator down.

Bought yesterday at 2070 and did not sell this morning. Of course gold was smashed down again. all that which had gone up after the report will have come down again. Why i had not sold this morning i dont know.

Dbuya quite right. Cant see gold and silver prices dropping much further than this. Newmont earning report is tomorrow. So should be a good rest of the week or two, with rate cuts and CPI data.

Long term looks good, price before end of the year. what are peoples estimates based on todays report. Rate cuts and CPI this week, so should climb back to £24 at least

Strike123 i had around 115k in Fres at around 25.80. Sold 2500 Shares at 7k loss and bought back at 20.72. lets see what happens for Q3 production report. total 50k lost in profits today including other mining stocks i have shares in.

I think at this point you just have to laugh, all these tech companies etc in the Dow got criminals writing up fake reports. Probably happy money going out of mines and into stocks. What a joke.

Same with me, i have been buying and selling in HOC plenty, but until last friday i did not take profits of 3k. I am either going to load up on fres or hoc. Currently have some in both but either are at a loss. what are you thinking ?

Tempted to load up now after selling at 7k loss earlier this morning. i assume a few others have also bought at this price. Production report will tell and at this point i feel like it will be neutral.
