i hope you are right & i am wrong but i think most experts believe car sales will fall this year.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/04/21/global-auto-sales-expected-to-plummet-22percent-in-2020-due-to-coronavirus.html
i am sure wealthy people might upgrade their car, but the growing unemployed certainly won’t be looking to in the next 6-12 months. So i am not so positive with auto in the short term but luckily DMS might be main stream in 2/3 years, just as the its starts to grow again.
Fleet definitely has decent short term growth opportunities as lorry drivers face increased fatigue due to longer working hours.
Great find.
One of SEE’s co-founders, Alexander Robinson responded with this comment:
Hi Jacques, and thank you for remembering us from APATS.
Hi David, it's great to read your research and progress in eye-tracking in aviation. I'd be delighted to discuss Seeing Machines' advanced work in aviation training and look forward to learning more about your research and insights into the value that can be delivered through this capability.
Great spot S2020, i missed the crucial last frame! The shot showing the eye tracking certainly looked like SEE, now we know it definitely is.
Also totally agree SEE should be promoting this like mad, but guess all the key people within industry will be very much aware. Video has had nearly 20k views in a few days.

Worth watching especially after 4 mins. Only released yesterday and already has had 13k views youtube.
Good post Maps!
....and for those that don’t know, MB used to play cricket for Surrey.
Surely we must have a RSN soon stating that an II or two has been buying?
Its unlikely to be Lombard as we know that they wont go above 20%.
Maybe SEE can make sure the RSN machine is a bit speedier than on previous II purchase announcements.
Something is seems to be happening.
As opposed some one sat at home on their phone, laptop, or watching TV. Where should the Gov. be advertising on Outdoor Posters? The vast majority of people are sat at home, that is where the ads are being targeted.
that or a new hearing aid!!
Smokey
We get that you are negative re: SEE, so give it rest, it’s beyond tiresome.
Now you have sold out you posting here multiple times more then when you held.
Move on or put a sock it in please.
in my chat with PM at the Share Mag Growth conference he did say (which was in my notes):
1) SE is a serious competitor
2) The Auto sector would not allow a monopoly
so this not a surprise but i agree it’s good news in that despite the short term turmoil especially in the auto sector business still are making medium to long term business decisions & awarding contracts.
So you are selling on Monday? Is this just BB talk or the truth?
ET
you are too emotional. first SM is crap but SE is the love of your life, then SM is the next big thing & Victor talks crap, now the SEE is a disaster & the world us going to end. within 12-18 months! it’s embarrassing! sell &move on!
Best post of 2020!
100% correct!
During my recent conversation with PM, he said that the US financial guys really due their Due Dillegence. So maybe, after an initial face to face meeting they will spend several months researching. Better to late than wrong!
DMS being a legal requirement in 100% of all fleet vehicles cannot come soon enough. This lorry driver was playing mobile games and sending texts while driving on a motorway. He killed two people including a 14 old year boy. Tragic and totally unnecessary. How many other stories like this will happen around the world in the next few years until this is becomes mandatory?

Part 2.
PRESENTATION
- The busiest of all the presentations I attended - packed house - ran 6 mins over but he did a decent job.
- Sophie said they had a positive reaction on the stand.
- However (as I said to PM) most PI's at this event will know SEE but think its a jam-tomorrow stock and only positive commercial news will change this perception.
- Paul is on Proactive Investor tomorrow and presenting at the Mobility conference.
TEAM
- PM said a number of times I am pushing the team very hard- to deliver commercial deals!
- Sophie was here with the CFO - Naomi
- I ask Sophie if she was Catherine from LSE - she said no!
Overall PM thinks this year will be a big turning point for the company. The plan is to aim to deliver consistent, positive news, so a step by step growth rather than rocket. I was impressed and slightly overwhelmed, but hopefully remembered most of of what was said.
Part 1.
As soon as I turned up, Paul was just sitting on his own, so managed to grab a 20-25 mins chat as well as watched his presentation.
Also had a chat and pint with Robbie F after the presentation.
PM seemed very happy to engage and chat and as always was very positive and determined. Here is a summary of what he said to me and when he presented.
This is just my interpretation, I am a naturally positive so expect to see CONFIRMATION BIAS, there are no guarantees on a high risk tech stocks on AIM.
AUTO
- Yes GM have announced about the roll out of SC to more models (22 out of 25) but that has not been communicated to SEE or indeed resulted in any additional orders.
- A number of Auto OEMS have said to Paul that they will not allow one DMS supplier to dominante the market
- He saw SE as a credible quality competitor - does seem like these two will dominate the market
- He believes that camera-based DMS tech will be in all new cars in the near future
- A number of Japanese OEM's were keen to engage with SEE at CES. Seems they have left it late and need the chip!
FLEET
- Still very confident about hitting H2 numbers - the imbalance in H1 v H2 is due to the Southern Hemisphere biased of clients who are affected by delay installs caused by Xmas x Summer hols.
- He expects more Fleet wins to continue
- Insurance is a growing pressure to invest in Fleet DMS
AVIATION
- SEE is in conversation with 3 companies (including the no. 2 and no. 3 by size).
- I asked about timing and he felt significant news before YE (June).
- Conversation have been going on for a long time and often goal post changes as dealing with very large, global organisations.
- Airlines are very keen on DMS as they need to train more pilots and reduce the number of pilots in ****pit - not necessarily from 2 to 1 but from 3/4 to 2 initially
- A few days ago Emirates had to respond to Dubai regulator about a crash - one of their solutions in the official report was to say that all FFS would include SEE tech
https://www.arabianbusiness.com/transport/439534-investigation-reveals-cause-of-2016-emirates-plane-crash-in-dubai
FUNDING
- We have enough cash until the end of 2021, but still feels confident that its likely we will not need additional funds due to additional commercial deals -
- I ask what was the biggest risk - and he said timing. We are dealing with huge multi-nationals who work at their own pace
INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS
- He felt we need II more to seriously grow share price and add stability
- After CES, Paul did a number of presentations in NY to 5-6 brokers / analysts including the leading tech analyst on Tesla.
- Announcement of new US broker soon - very different from UK broker who do much detailed DD.
- Lombard will not go above 19.5%
- Did not speak to Gervais Williams on this trip but did last time and he is bearish on all his stocks.
Thanks s2020, to be honest i was only kidding. Hopefully i will get to speak to Paul M, but concerned either way.
Be interesting to see how he performs, SEE has reputation as a jam tomorrow stock (dont know why!!!!) so can he win over the sceptics?
No pressure then!
