The interesting point for me in the cenkos note is that things are speeding up.
Feels like we are just at the start of a drumbeat of news.
PMG is clearly trying to build some momentum with these weekly releases.
The lorry driver who killed 2 people and seriously 5 more when he crashed into a school bus while using his mobile phone was sentenced for 9 years yesterday. Disappointingly the senior police officer at the trial called for a change in the culture of mobile phones & car driving, and is clearly unaware there is technology available now to stop more needless and preventable deaths and suffering. Also worth noting that every report I have read stated that the lorry driver was driving a Mercedes Arocs truck, which I am sure would have been noticed by Daimler and other truck OEMS.
As Waymo CEO stated in the video from the CB's latest article, 1.35m auto deaths per year is the equivalent to an Airbus with 150 people crashing every hour for a whole year. This is DMS legislation cannot come fast enough IMO.

I think PM has learnt from his “imminent” experience, it must have been painful.
He now wants to be judged by actions not words, hence the cautious optimism yesterday plus he is also right to be worried about any future Covid issues.
Still puzzled by the early TU, maybe he just wanted to get it out the way, before he starts using his new, powerful RSN machine!!
Yes Lewbo your chart is going viral on twitter. Conkers9 has shared it now.
I have got to know a top bloke & well known PI called Comkers9 over the last few years. He is an investor in SEE which has been one of his disappointing shares, so i try to keep him positive about the company.
i sent the tweet below recently as part of a chat about the launch of Ford F1. The SEE account just liked it, so i think they are very keen for the story to get out, trouble is people want official confirmation.
Still could be #SEE tech but NDA might limit ability to RSN it explicitly. Keep an eye out for any announcements from @Veoneer as they are like the tier 1 supplier, with #SEE being tier 2 supplier. Either way, the age of DMS is about to start, & #SEE is the leading supplier!
Paul McG & Kevin Tanaka have now liked it as well. 100% Confirmation it’s SEE tech for me now.
when i spoke with PM at the share mag event, he said Tesla just won’t engage with us. When i said probably Silcon Valley arrogance, he just raised his eyebrows & nodded.
Not really a surprise.
Some interesting take aways from this US's National Transportation Safety Board official podcast.
- AV are long way off, so let's use the safety tech that is available now.
- Safety needs to be universally available not something people cannot afford
- Lets educate consumers on what safety tech is available and how effective it is
- US Truckers have become even more important to the country but 800 die a year from crashes.
- New COVID rules have loosened safety, & does not help trucker drivers or the people around them stay safe.
- Its not mandatory to take a break every 8 hours now, so we need to make sure all trucks have safety technology.
This discussion shows that ADAS (and DMS) is coming soon and it will be everywhere.
Semicast just tweeted about this podcast episode from the NTSB which is all about their coming safety recommendations. Gets interesting from 36 mins.

Apparently the answer to the recent increase in road fatalities caused by drunk driving & distraction is more police on the roads. Massive PR opportunity for smart tech company which could help solve this issue.

Sorry Terry, definitely not a Happy Hammer!
Spurs season ticket holder + 25 years! It’s very much like being a SEE investor, years of pain & hopefully one day we will reach the promised land!!
Ignore me! Trying watch football and research SEE.

New: @denislearywill help @Ford reveal the next-generation F-150 via livestream Thursday night.
I spoke with the longtime voice of Ford trucks about the new product & filming amid a pandemic:

i agree most PI’s are unaware of SEE & those that do believe it’s a jam tomorrow company. Also as Colin B said many people have bought into the hype that self- driving cars not far away & therefore DMS is at best an interim solution.
Once the market realises these perceptions are wrong, it should get interesting, though god knows when that will be!
5. The silence from SE.
And Paul McG too!!
S2020
i see a Senior First Officer from BA liked that video. I wonder if a relationship is developing with the worlds favourite airline?
Nice.
AR has a fantastic combination of specialised knowledge, passion & fearlessness. i wished we work for SEE.
Good to see Alex Roy wade into the discussion.
"Good morning to everyone except Tesla fans opposed to a camera-based Driver Monitoring System".
This is my favourite response:
"Good morning to everyone except those opposed to camera based DMS in ALL cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles, period, no exceptions. It is NEVER acceptable to not pay attention no matter what kind of pilot assist system you may or may not have (or how it was marketed)"
