I think we are disagreeing as you think I’m implying boohoo are operating illegally.

I don’t think they are, but the subsequent breakdown of sweatshops in the area will mean labour needs to be addressed. This will need to be water tight after this event and will mean switching manufacturing to more expensive options.

However if they now need to move their business model away from certain questionable areas supplying their goods to a more regulated supply chain their costs may double/treble etc.

It’s illegal to operate sweatshops but the area is littered with them. I really doubt the factory owners care one bit. Hence the news article.

Exposing the illegal activities of suppliers is the entire point of the discussion and share price collapse isn’t it?

I spent my 20s living in Rabat, in the textile industry.

Common practice was that most contracts were given to factories by companies in the uk, the factories managed 30 - 40 percent of the quotas and the rest was made up of hundreds of residential one man bands who made a few hundred pieces a day and delivered them to the factories to make up the numbers,

The fear, I imagine is that a lot of suppliers are sub contracting to households and tiny 3 or 4 man bands, in and around the area.

I could always tell factories that farmed out orders as the sizing was always very inconsistent considering the batch was produced on the same factory runs!

I hope this isn’t the case here but I’m concerned that there has been a lot of blind eyes turned here and if so an example needs to be made.

Those saying their kids/friends will not stop buying are silly. They won’t stop buying yet but the demographic of this company is attention seeking, virtue signalling millennials. Once it trends on Twitter they will Stop buying, if nothing more to attention seek.

I think a lot of companies are getting annoyed as, after years And years of building a sustainable and important business they are getting sick of being rebranded covid test businesses, it almost erases their previous good work and is insulting hence their resistance to bow down to day traders and play the short term pump and dump RNS covid nonsense.

These are businesses that have just had a halo cash injection, the business has not changed, thry are just better funded.

I imagine 90 percent of private investors are covid investors, the sooner they get rid of these leeches then the sooner the company can become what it needs to.

Jones has decided to ramp shares on the top increase list everyday, at the very top. With 25 percent spreads. It’s comical .

So sub 200 short term drifting towards 100 or below and settling for several years at that price before Becoming explosive or bust depending on their new projects. People traded this as a covid share and it isn’t.

But we can all agree after the last pandemic everything changes overnight.

The problem with this company is a Typical Englishman’s Guilt problem. We don’t want to say how much money we are making in a pandemic as it’s not the done thing, so to brag about profit is unbecoming. So we have unsubstantiated profits and are all guessing. Either way I think everything will be pumped into making this a more advanced company. So personally think we are a sub 200p share, that will be a gradual decline but a fantastic price for a fully funded advanced company operating in this sector.

Fast forward 10 years who knows but I’m still of the thinking this will drop sub 100 and stabilise as a well funded company.

And yes I’m aware they now have no debt, I was that guy who said they would pay it all off the night before they issued an RNS to say they were going to..... pay all their debt.
