Companies are required to tell the market when there is reason to believe results are going to materially deviate from expected levels. Does the absence of a profit warning give any comfort that this short attack is just opportunistic and that the company is getting on with business? Or do they know something that the company isn't telling us? Genuinely bemused at the SP here

Nice to see the RNS issued this afternoon and read about our CFO picking up his 57 free shares today. This clown, who has presided over an 80% crash in the share price, has issued 4 (or is it 5?) profit warnings in little over a year, and has seen multiple accounting scandals on his watch but somehow retains the confidence of the Board? And who NEVER puts his hand in his pocket to buy the company shares in a show of support? The man is a disaster and should be nowhere near a plc Board room ever again.

Update in relation to Share Buyback Programme reporting

In line with the recent change to UK Listing Rule 9.6.6 concerning the timing of notifications of share repurchases, the Company will move from daily announcements to a consolidated weekly announcement and in any event will be announced no later than the end of the seventh trading day following the date of the repurchase. The Company will publish an RNS announcement each week setting out all share purchases executed on trading days during the preceding week, presented in both aggregated and detailed form consistent with the current disclosure content. The amendments to the UK Listing Rules relate solely to the timing of announcements and do not affect the information required in such announcements.

Where can I find this RBC piece? Looking at the history of RBC broker notes, it seems they have always been the most pessimistic, but 180 seems a bit of a leap? Why would Greg put 900k in if he thought a 50% dilution was coming?

The £16bn is not the purchase cost, it is likely to in the form of financial guarantees - it is being described as a"bank", not as an outright purchaser. I suspect it will be used to guarantee developers a level of profitability if market conditions change during the build? Just my reading of it, and from the interview with Reed this morning
