Well yup - here - initially bought in at 69p, lost 20% on day 1!

I sold all my SNG because I was bored of it, a week before went parabolic. Same with Centrica, literally the day before a 30% rise. I thought I'd got it right with MARS, held for ages as i knew something was brewing - when it rocketed I sold out on a peak a 30% up. It kept going on to about 200% up PMSL.

I agree, generally. To day trade you really need to be on it all the time, you can't turn away for more than a few minutes.

Investing long term is a lot more relaxing and you can get on with normal work/life without having to check every few minutes. I still have a dabble... especially in BP. But most of my 'gambling' is in AIM where is mostly parking funds medium-long term waiting for a breakout - rather than day trading.

Every sentence in EVERY press release has an agenda.... numbers are ALWAYS twisted to support that agenda at that time.

From my perspective I wasn't criticising AML's staff balance. More questioning the statement - or our interpretation of that statement. Because that large a design team is frankly, impossible.

A very valid point. That is a huge design team if thats an accurate number... which TBH I can't see it, thats approaching half of the total.
They must be bringing in many others under the umbrella of 'engineers' to make it more impactful.

I disagree ;o)... the recent SP drops were mostly related to two shares issues.
Stemming from a ridiculous initial IP and subsequent dealer stock management disasters.

News, in the main, has caused SP to rise against the shower of sheite!

@3300 my approach with BP is if jumping in too early for the dip, average down until actually finding it lol, as it always comes back up eventually given a few days.

What no-one has mentioned yet with Perez - where did he go last week? F1 was locked in a bubble for the first 3 races. I guess that was relaxed last week with no racing. Well now he's lost two very likely podiums in the next 2 weeks! I think he will have been self contained from the team as to not affect things. He tested positive before mixing back in I believe...

I'm confused (and disappointed) why and how they've done this.... announced right behind the previous placing. It's messy, smacks of disorganisation, and will do no good for SP.

Reckon Lloyds has bottomed? Will be a great long term hold from there.
BP is a cert... trying to free up funds to add in.
Problem with gambling in AIM is that it ties funds up waiting for the rocket!
I gambled on TILS just yesterday which looks set to go nuts today.... will plan to plug those profits in to BP I think. Happy with my holding here..... I think.

I'm not too sure the simple act of Moers first day will see much SP movement - everyone knows that's happening already. I hope he kicks off with a punchy mission statement - they may be leaving it to him to announce the DBX launch figures to start with positivity. Either way.... it's gonna be a great week I am confident! Just wish I didn't have funds tied up in gambles in pharma and mining to plug even more in here!

But yes... many investors would have been worried about H1 results, so sat out in case of a drop. Now buying back in before Moers/DBX news.

Bad results were expected. Investors were worried they may be worse than expected.
New CEO starting in a couple of days, whole new product line press release is imminent. Now is not the time to be out of AML.

Wrong again. McLaren GROUP are under the cosh because of Covid hitting at the same time as the business model restructuring played out - very similar activities there as AML.

McLaren Racing is self sufficient, a blip in income due to the championship performance payments being offset quite a period behind the actual (poor) results - but the short term future is looking great for them after a successful championship last year, and big sponsor signings this year.

Williams and Haas are struggling financially yes - mainly because they have woeful under performed.

Not to mention next years budget cap.... which is well below what even the most frugal of midfield teams (Racing Point) spend each year anyway. And the car is already contending podiums every race - with an unexpected extra year of use now in 21 are the new regs were delayed. Massive PR boost coming!

Did you miss the global pandemic thing, the REDUCING debt, the clearly defined business strategy? Clearly the market didn't miss what you obviously did.... the SP reaction says it all.

F1 teams lose money do they? A couple at the bottom of the grid do yes - the rest are profitable. And if you you actually knew anything about it.... you'd know that AML are effectively a sponsor of an F1 team next year, not actually own one anyway. A naming rights sponsorship at a bargain price thanks to Stroll's consortium owning both businesses - independently.

I am vehemently anti racist, actively fundraise continuously for pro rights, equality, and the NHS. I've raised/donated circa £90k for charities in these areas this year. My business even partnered with Pride last year.

What I am equally vehemently against is unwarranted agenda pushing, over political correctness especially where clearly no offence was meant. It's pathetic.
