Coming out of China and going into India Indonesia and more in Australia would be good interesting as politically less obnoxious but question the extent. Would be annoying to miss a Chinese rebound -admit bottom fishing hazardous but obviously trading scope in China if not long holds. Not often you find a Utility with a Preference share! Should all be like it so cannot be sold off by shareholders to foreigners. But 8.06 % and cumulative irredeemable not bad and not subject to the tier 1 Prefs in 2025 for the bank Prefs

The FCA are giving till end of February for brokers to comply. So this means as I see it that Jarvis have not been out of line so cannot see any need for a phase 2 investigation. Admittedly %on idle balances has been important for them in paying dividends on shares.

Looks steady but this one has a long way down at a time when Prefs being unloaded !

If there were a successful bid for the UK consumer business as Toronto based company that now owns it interested in selling who would this entity continue to rest with - presumably still the Canadian company?

How many banks pay % on current accounts? Many park cash they are not investing in one year to be available another year. I am sure there are other brokers that do not pay % on cash. I think if the FSCA thought there was any wrong doing would have said so long ago. Hopefully in February when the phase 1 ends any phase 2 will have little left to do!

My reliable information is that assets are fully ring fenced by the FCA Rules in their CSS handbook that the company has to comply with.

But Jarvis clearly state in their prospectuses that there are insurances in place to guarantee the holdings

That suppose includes X-O but think by the fCA rules all shares must be in shielded accounts - hoping so

I think they have to comply with FSC rules and shareholder holdings have to be in secure place. This is the kind of reassurance that should be coming from them in Company announcements not just seemingly dumb indifference as it appears

Whatever -shareholders need to be compensated for the failure to be transparent
