I've had time to sleep on yesterday's news, read this morning's RNS (LSE still haven't listed yesterday's!!) and process the information.

I still feel that Harry has betrayed us somewhat with recent statements but also believe it's possible the deals he had on offer maybe weren't that great or were withdrawn as a result of the US/Israel/Iran catastrophe that is still unfolding.

I'm giving him and Kefi the benefit of the doubt, for now.

With this mornings RNS info I have calculated the expanded share issue - assuming the Retail Offer is fully subscribed - will total 13,720,043,075 shares.

The scale of dilution is undoubtedly massive but does at least remove any doubt over the funding issues that have dragged on for what seems like years.

Ultimately this will re-rate in line with construction milestones and the investment value will be realised when production starts; we are told early 2028 but could be late 2027, Lycopodium have a proven track record in this respect so entirely possible.

Hold for gold.

Time for tea now, let's see what tomorrow brings.

Maybe the markets will view this as uber-positive, who knows?

... the Placing, Retail and Subscription (if approved and fully filled) will require just under 3 billion (2,987,715,583) new shares. Needed a bigger calculator, had to do it on paper!!

So the total after the dust settles will be in the region of 13.7b.

On the plus side (!) if there is one, means everything will finally be FULLY funded and then some, and if we believe the RNS is a better option than the royalty deals we were led to believe we were getting. It will definitely mean no more uncertainty surrounding funding.

If it also means we have II's and can get a move to main market sooner rather than later then has to be a good thing, right?

The markets won't view this favorably and I expect the sell off will be over-done.

That could present a better buying opportunity than the proposed Retail Offer @ 1.2p.

I'll be honest, I didn't see that coming and I really wasn't expecting it.

There have been missed deadlines and raise/no raise issues for as long as I can remember but this latest RNS just just feels like the final betrayal, it's very disappointing to say the least and the dilution is going to be considerable.

I am certain the GM will approve the extra shares to be issued and the money will be raised, and ultimately the mine will be built and gold produced, but this really makes me question if staying invested here is sensible.

Hold for gold or bail with the profit I have? Dilemma.

Has been some reasonable volume this morning - over 46m so far - but sp looks to be bouncing back a little now so hopefully we have seen the bottom.

The fundamentals haven't changed. The gold hasn't gone anywhere. Procurement, mobilisation, construction, all under way. The remaining finance to be completed soon.
