Well, this isn't the place for an in depth political discussion about the merits of socialism.

The UK govt could take the export tax revenue, subsidize fuel in the UK by removing the 25% green taxes and VAT.

I don't know about Russia using chemical weapons, but I know that a few days ago they attacked a Nitric Acid storage facility, even after they were warned not to attack it! Also, Russia is claiming they have captured about 1000 marines in Mariupol. I think this war will be prolonged, and so will be bullish for oil and gas prices for a few years. Imho, UK govt should consider export taxes to keep the prices down in the UK.

If you are looking at old prices, you'll have to adjust for the varying shares outstanding over time. This company has issued alot of shares in the past. Also, look at stock-splits and consolidation of shares (reverse splits).
You might want to do a spreadsheet and learn how to scrape data from yahoo finance, or some other stock-quote site.
