This share is being used by the MMs for the day traders and only the day traders. And this will continue until the day traders stop - which they won't. All the LTHs (including myseld) used to have a stock broker and shares were bought to make money over time. Not any more. You now need a very fast computer with at least three screens and access to real time prices. Plus you should try to join the buddy day trader club so that you 'invest / gamble' at the same time.

3rd Feb. 2011: Bahamas Petroleum, the oil and gas exploration company with licences in The Bahamas, is pleased to announce that the company has completed the acquisition of 1120 km of long-cable (8km) 2D seismic in its southern licences. The new seismic survey has confirmed the presence of multiple prospects, some of which are 4-way closure in nature and some of which are combination stratigraphic-structural traps.
The share price was circa 20p on this news so I expect the SP to be at least 20p in December, bearing in mind there are more than double shares now.

Certain of the Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities have participated in the Fundraise, pursuant to the Placing. John Standen, Non-Executive Chairman, and his wife Kathleen Standen have subscribed for 12,500 New Ordinary Shares in aggregate, which represents an amount of £15,000 at the Issue Price. Paul Mines, Chief Executive Officer, has subscribed for 12,500 New Ordinary Shares, which represents an amount of £15,000 at the Issue Price. So these people know something and have 'invested'. 20 months ago the SP was just under 700p. Just another way for the BOD to get cheap shares and Fk the LTHs.

This work not only improved our understanding of the geology and thus detailed prospectivity but also provided us with a sufficient level of confidence to proceed with a FEED plan which provided an initial well design and identified long lead items and schedule for the drilling of an exploration well.

That drilling will proceed under strengthened and modernised regulations is to be welcomed as this will provide the Government, as well as the people of the Bahamas, sound assurance of a solid environmental and safety framework consistent with international best practices. We are closer than ever to realising our goal of exploring the hydrocarbon potential of the Bahamas and look forward to the near-term future with excitement and confidence."

So this is why LTHs are skeptical. If the well is drilled then good. But the BG could still pull the plug with yet another excuse.
