CAP-XX VERSION 2.08 Feb 2025 10:21
Taken from the patent regarding the new binder system...the new binder that enables Cap-xx to produce the SMT (After many many years of R&D)
The PSS is Cap-xx and the CMC is the most used binder currently.
These figures look impressive to me.
Can be used in batteries....remarks of scalability coming from Cap-xx.
The NEW DMH going to Schurter imo has this binder, and its environmental qualities are the attraction to Dr Cooley.
SO who else could benefit from this????
" The ESR and capacitance of the supercapacitor was tested by regular discharge measurements (see Figs. 1 and 2). As evidenced by these data, the ESR rise is much slower using PSS as a binder compared to using CMC, and the capacitance is lost more slowly. The PSS capacitors performed better after 600 hours than the CMC capacitors performed at 50 hours."
" The PSS supercapacitor also show an improved frequency response for capacitance relative to the otherwise identical CMC supercapacitor (see Fig. 3). The PSS supercapacitor -45° phase transition occurred at around 1.1 Hz, compared to the comparable CMC transition at 0.5 Hz (see Fig. 4)."
"There was less gas generated in the cells for the supercapacitors that used PSS binders as judged by the lower force exerted on the load cell at 100 hours than the equivalent CMC capacitor at 10 hours."
