Don't forget not everyone that is prepared to strike will be staying with BT long term. Times have changed. You want better pay and conditions - move on. You only know what you're worth to the company after you have handed in your notice. Then you get a better deal. It sucks but that's how it is. As business user of BT, I tend to notice that local faults are often created when a repair is being carried out on an adjacent service. Wires crossed, terminations disturbed. The network can often calm down when people aren't fiddling with it. Things ain't going to stop over a couple of days. How many faults are resolve by power cycling routers, switches, servers etc all of which can be done remotely.
