A golden opportunity for new discoveries
S&P found that gold exploration budgets peaked in 2012, but Global Market Intelligence's annual Gold Discoveries report remain at historically high levels.
Explorers have allocated US$54.3 billion to gold exploration over the past decade, 60% higher than the $32.2 billion spent over the preceding 18 years.
Despite the effort, just 215.5 million ounces has been discovered in 41 discoveries over the past decade, compared with 1.72 billion ounces in 222 discoveries in the preceding 18-year period.
Over half of that amount is contained in just 10 discoveries, with Zhaojin Mining Industry Co's 16.4Moz Haiyu deposit in China the largest.
Other deposits in the top 10 including Barrick Gold's Goldrush, White Rivers Exploration/Harmony Gold's JV, SolGold's ...

"MORE YET TO BE ANNOUNCED...."

Satan - "possibly the primary motivation for solgold is to simply do enough (at this stage) to keep all of our tenements in good standing."
For Solg to retain the concessions they have to commit to a certain level of expenditure in the first 4 years exploration phase, otherwise the concession is lost. I guess that's why we have up to 100 geologists on the ground. No point in investing further in concessions which draw a blank.
Interestingly I have read that exploitation of a concession requires a minimum of 80% of the workforce to be Ecuadorian.

NM - ^Weve created a blue print for the discovery of these things, and we are replicating that all through Ecuador securing 22 other porphyry copper gold systems.^
I wonder how many more Tier 1 discoveries are to come?
RE: NM at 121 Hong Kong 23/24 April26 Apr 2018 23:06
NM has always said he wouldn't sell it too cheaply. For sure, the more the drill turns , the bigger the price will be,
Perhaps you will get the actual answer in the next few weeks earthling.

the 15 billion tonnes referred to at Cascabel relates to Alpala, Moran and Aguinaga.
You can then add more for Trivinio, Carmen, Cristal, Chinambicito, Tandayama-America, and Parambas.

and this is where the 15 billion tonnes is mentioned,

The presence of magnetite with chalcopyrite and bornite with potassic alteration endorses the predictive nature of the 3D Magnetic model at Cascabel. The magnetic bodies at Alpala, Moran and Aguinaga constitute approximately 15 billion tonnes of untested magnetic rock. We are excited by the strong correlation to date between magnetic signatures and copper mineralisation in this system.

Yes earthling - DECADES.
NM knows what is there (Cascabel) and how big it could ultimately be. 15 billion tonnes of magnetic orebody rock.
One Tier 1 World class discovery made. Only another 73 tenements to explore next.
