We are initiating coverage on SolGold with a BUY rating and C$1.00 target price, based on our assessment of the exploration potential of an 85% holding in the Cascabel project, located in Ecuador. There is a very high probability that discovery on the first high-priority target of eight is just scratching the surface, and 21.2 million of gold equivalent ounces indicated may truly be the tip of an iceberg of mineralization contained at Cascabel.

Paradigm Capital. We see significant upside in SolGold from Cascabel�s latest drill results and exploration potential of its current and future targets. Considering the continual positive newsflow from the Cascabel project thus far, we expect the maiden resource estimate to confirm that Cascabel is the next world-class copper-gold deposit. Using a 1.0x NAV multiple, we are initiating coverage of SolGold with a �0.50 target price and Speculative Buy recommendation.

Echelon report Valuation: We see good potential for SolGold to provide visibility on a 1.5B tonne resource in the 0.9% CuEq range over the next 12 months. For our sum-of-parts NAV estimate we apply a value of US$0.04/CuEq pound to SOLG�s 85% interest, arriving at target price of C$1.00/shr.

In the interest of balance. Our resident infestor experts, who have far greater knowledge of these things compared with NM, analysts and Investment companies etc, have suggested a fall to a penny share again. LOL

FT on 25th May referred to three analysts targets for Solg. The 3 analysts offering 12 month price targets for SolGold plc have a median target of 67.23, with a high estimate of 85.00 and a low estimate of 41.65. The median estimate represents a 174.40% increase from the last price of 24.50.

Just a reminder of Investors Chronicle tipping Solg (Feb 2018). So what is this thing worth? A Canadian research team, Paradigm Capital, believes Alpala alone should carry a net present value of $1.4bn, assuming a 12 per cent discount rate, a 25-year mine life, a long-term copper price of $3.10 per pound and a gold price of $1,250 an ounce. Back of the envelope fundraising calculations are probably pointless at this stage, but it seems altogether possible that some big fish will bite based on the gulf in the market value and a likely net asset valuation. The fact that this is just one of many potential projects could be the kicker. Add to that the upcoming release of several UK analyst reports, and we don�t expect SolGold�s share price to be subdued for much longer. Buy.

I think Ecuador definitely has risk, but as Rick Rule mentioned to me, the times when he�s made the most money is in high-risk jurisdictions that are coming off a bottom. For those that remember the Kinross Gold (TSX:K,NYSE:KGC) Fruta del Norte debacle, I believe that marked a bottom in Ecuador, and I think what we we�re seeing right now is a march upwards. I think getting in now gives you tremendous exposure to the mineral potential that Ecuador has. The risk is absolutely there, but I think if you were to put money in now it�s a good time. INN: Right, and there�s some interest right now, there�s Aurania Resources (TSXV:ARU) I believe, and I�m sure there�s other players in there. BL: Yeah, Adventus Zinc (TSXV:ADZN), you�ve got Lundin Gold (TSX:LUG), SolGold (TSX:SOLG) � and these are very good projects. So there�s some choice there for sure.
