Newcrest have a man on the board and have far greater knowledge and info compared with the likes of us. They were happy to pay 41p per share and Solg has progressed massively since then. Well worth buying at this level. Any significant buying volume will see the share price shoot up. IMHO DYOR

Morning Qali. We know that the majors’ reserves are depleting. We know that the number of tier 1 discoveries is diminishing. The majors (including the 12 who have approached Solg) must find new, viable orebodies/mines or they will go out of business. They survive by cherry picking the best discoveries made by the minnows. Solg’s rare, high grade discovery must be high on their lists. Only a matter of time before an offer comes in which starts a bidding war. NM’s comments about becoming a miner is negotiation brinksmanship. All IMHO DYOR GLA.

Lundin to offer C$1.4 billion cash for Nevsun.

Nevsun last month announced a maiden resource for the Timok Lower Zone, its joint venture with Freeport-McMoRan, of 1.7 billion tonnes inferred containing 31.5 billion pounds of copper and 9.6 million ounces of gold.

SolGold unveiled a maiden resource at Cascabel's Alpala deposit in January, comprising a metal inventory of about 5.2 million tonnes (11.5 billion pounds) of copper and 12.6 million ounces of gold.
