Looking at that map Scoutt, it looks a good bet to get exploration licences in south Colombia and north Peru, assuming they haven’t already been explored. The geology being continuous.

Five geochemical targets identified covering 2.6km² in a 6km x 1km mineralised zone with rock chip values to 13.86% copper.

Field teams identify two additional outcrops of mineralised porphyry diorite within geochemical Targets 2 & 3.

The newly identified outcrop in Target 2 is located 400m away from the main La Hueca mineralisation. Samples displays intense stockworks of B-veins and magnetite veins with by up to 3% chalcopyrite, 2% bornite, 1% chalcocite and traces of malachite and native copper.
The other outcrop is located in Target 3, 1.5km from the main mineralisation. Characterised by a 5m wide quartz vein containing pyrite, chalcopyrite, Bornite, and minor chalcocite with surrounding area rich in magnetite, chalcopyrite and pyrite.
Additional technical personnel are being added to the field teams to fast track data collection for drill targeting and environmental permitting at the La Hueca Project - an exciting new 25km long mineralised porphyry corridor in Southern Ecuador.

The main target areas at Chalanes, Target1, Varela and Palomar hold characteristics typical of other similar systems and clusters of systems along the Andean Copper Belt that have generated some very large globally significant porphyry deposits. With surface mineralisation covering a vertical extent of up to 1500m, we can envisage that exploratory drilling will test an enormous vertical column of 3 to 3.5km."

Notice any similarities with today’s obvious new porphyry system discovery?

CSD-13-005 was sited to test beneath holes 1 and 2, which intersected long runs of copper and gold mineralisation associated with porphyry copper-gold quartz stock-work and sheeted veins at the Alpala prospect. Copper and gold assay results have been received to a depth of 869.68 metres as reported on the 14th January.

Hole CSD-13-005 resumed drilling from 869.68m depth on the 28th January. As of the 10th February the hole has reached a current depth of 1106.80m.

The extension to Hole CSD-13-005 continues to encounter coarse grained and highly visible chalcopyrite mineralisation from 869.68m to the current depth of 1106.80m. This mineralisation is dominated by chalcopyrite with some bornite and chalcocite. The copper sulphides that are being encountered occur in association with significant magnetite and some anhydrite (both magnetite and anhydrite are common in the deep potassic altered zone of porphyry copper-gold systems).

SolGold considers that the particularly coarse grained nature of the chalcopyrite that is being intersected in the lower part of Hole 5 is likely to have encouraging implications for metallurgy of the mineralisation

Tier 1 number 2 at Porvenir it is then.
