My prediction :
Gradual increase in share price into the thirties as we approach PFS and end of BHP standstill agreement. Following both of these events, share price increasing further into the forties and reaching 50p, as speculation about a BHP takeover reaches feverpitch.

SolGold is currently valued at around USD 650 million - in addition to Alpala, the Group's assets include a further 13 projects. It is only a matter of time before this valuation discrepancy will resolve.

The next months and years will be very exciting for SolGold and its shareholders if Mather is correct.
Thanks to the underlying strength of its flagship project and its hefty institutional support, the firm already presents an attractive investment proposition.
However, the closer SolGold can take this world-class asset to production (especially in this perfect macro environment) the more promising the potential for a significant positive rerate in the company’s stock.

I believe the answer is that if we don’t invest a certain amount within a certain timescale on each licence, we lose the licence.

A mining concession is granted for up to 25 years and may be renewed for an equal period. Once the mining concession has been granted, in medium-scale mining and large-scale mining the concessionaire shall comply with the following phases and terms:

(a) up to four years of initial exploration, i.e., surface exploration including geological mapping, geophysical surveys, and geochemical sampling (stream sediments, soils & rocks) and trenching (“Initial Exploration Phase”);
(b) up to four years of advanced exploration, including drilling (“Advanced Exploration Phase”); and
(c) two years of economic evaluation of the deposit (pre-feasibility and feasibility studies), which can be extended for an additional two-year period, and during which periods drilling activities may continue (“Economic Evaluation Phase”).
