Revenue will be down? That's an unknown. If the war stuff is sorted quickly revenue may be up. Who knows. The SP has dropped 10 fold in a short time. Will revenue drop 10 fold as well??

Yes, fair points made. Liquidity is a bib problem here. Difficult to get a quote for more than 2k shares to buy (my experience anyway) Maybe i'll just tuck these away now as i got them so cheap it's a bit of an all or nothing one for me!

HH well yes, that's what i was thinking too. I'm tempted to sell tomoz if it hits a decent level & miss out on the divi but just use the proceeds when it dips down on ex div day!

Not seen much talk of divi being cancelled anymore. That would be a bummer if they dropped an RNS saying that tomoz. AIM type behaviour. LOL

I'm surprised we've seen no Tr1 RNSs here. Huge volumes & huge drops so come on. Tell us who's been selling the damn things!

Hashtags, Agree with most of those points re types of holder. I bought a few tranches of these 1 lot @67 last Wed, another lot @55 Thurs then a few this morning @81. Not a huge holding only a few 000 & really not sure whether to just sell or hold really. Do we really think the SP will go to 40-50 after ex div date? just seems way too low for me & i'd be tempted to really load up at those levels. I think would be a great investment for long term as i really don't see this company collapsing unless something really bizarre occurs!

The world needs oil more than ever now as we have a nutcase controlling a large %age of the resources who we can't/won't buy it off! Companies like PFC/WG/HTG are essential to the oil industry & eventually the market will realise this & price those companies accordingly. In the current turmoil noone can really predict anything. Some amazingly cheap shares about at the mo. Spoilt for choice!

Why would Polymetal pay their dividend but Evraz not pay their one? No talk of the Poly dividend not being paid & that one was announced after Evraz's when the conflict in Ukraine had escalated further!!

I'm not sure why people think the 37p dividend won't be paid. It was declared on 25th Feb along with the financial results. $3bn profit; $729m set aside for dividend with the full approval of the BoD. The prevailing SP level should have no bearing on this as it's just been pushed down by all the big IIs /pension funds etc disposing of their holding due to the need to distance themselves from Russian related stocks. The SP does not alter the financial numbers that they announced on 25th Feb! it may seem bizarre to buyers at these low levels but if you'd bought these at 'normal' SP levels you'd be rightly aggrieved at any notion the dividend would be cancelled!

Lodan, i did well on BP & also on PFC at start of 2021. I reinvested in PFC once SFO stuff was concluded. Hasn't gone quite to plan there since & i'm sitting on a load of them now but have averaged down to mid 130s & am very confident that one will come good eventually. Been hit on a couple of poor AIM investments which went a bit sour but all part of the risk/reward game really. & for me that's what it's about here with EVRAZ. I believe the potential reward here hugely outweighs the risk. I've only bought a few 000 so far but will look at adding a good few next week. Crazy times these really are. Not for the faint hearted that's for sure!

Legin, a good post there i thought. Lots of focus on the short term SP here & that is understandable given the circumstances. Personally i've bought a few of these over the last couple of days as i think it just looks like an absolute steal at these levels. Dividends or no dividends for the foreseeable future, on paper this appears to be an extremely well run & highly profitable business. I really do have sympathy for the LTHs here who must be sitting on some momentous paper losses. I've been there myself when a stock has been hugely clattered down & it's really a very unpleasant feeling to watch your hard earned cash evaporate. This is obviously very high risk ATM but i really cannot see a company like this going to the dogs. This war won't go on for too long i hope & we can all get back to some normality. GLA

Wow, the markets are absolutely mad at the moment but the heading says it all. This could be much worse! i'm impressed that PFC has held well above £1. TBH i'd have expected it to be about 80p now just based on the broader market shenanigans. Peeps need to realise that the high OP isn't really a good thing here. It's being caused by restricted supply rather than demand fuelled so is a bit of a misnomer really. Just need to sit on your hands really in these turbulent times i think. Once some sort of progress happens with the Ukraine situation i'm sure we'll see a market wide jump. Anyway i bought a few EVRAZ today for a bit of fun. Crazy one that is!!!

If this goes below 37p the shares are free due to the dividend. I've never heard of a divi being cancelled after it's been declared. They set the cash aside at the time they announce it. The SP should be of no relevance to the divi payment. Does anyone have an example of when a divi has been withdrawn after being declared?

Reminds me a bit of March 2020 bloodbath. everything getting a battering. I imagine this will continue as the war escalates. C'est la vie, wait & see i suppose!

johnpohn, this company never had large scale contracts from Russia. Once ADNIOC suspension lifted the work should flow in. This has done well today after BP's announcement i expected to see this sub £1 again but nowhere near!

Thankfully the PFC deal with Gazprom is just a Memorandum of Cooperation so no financial tie in & won't affect the financials as such but sentiment will knock the SP for sure!
