Prime, yes i started my buys end of 2027. I actually 'caught the bottom' at 127 in December 22 with one of my buys. I was also invested during Covid & again on one of my tranches 'caught the bottom' at 112. The covid ones i sold for a decent profit & got back in big when it was hitting the covid prices again. Investors in RR have had a similar roller coaster over the 3 years before the recovery & i imagine most who invested at good prices there probably all sold out when they broke even again & have now seen the SP rocket away. I've always had a 5 year view on this investment & intend to keep a core holding for at least that period. I will slice some on recovery simply because i have too many in here now although my intention is to average down further at these prices. I think a lot of people are thinking short term here which is compounding their frustrations. Watch the presentation. They are addressing the pricing issues which yes i agree with you on. This company has huge competitive advantage & pricing should not be an issue here IMO. Demand is inelastic for their services. They could raise prices on UK coach by probably 20% without a big impact on demand. WMT is due to be renegotiated in Jan 25. People are ignoring a lot of positives here & focusing on all the negatives.

Far too much fear & panic abound here. I get that the SP is dreadful. £80k+ loss on paper so maybe i should sit on the toilet all day. This is the lowest price since this listed in 1993. This is a solid business bring in consistently huge revenues. Take a trip down any major arterial motorway & you will pass several giant jam sandwiches to remind you of what you have bought part of! This will be a missed opportunity i believe for many who were happy to buy at but not at 50p!

Look at the short seller profile on DOCS. Very similar activity to what's going down here. It's unlikely the opportunity to get these at 50p will be around for long!

How many on here have watched the presentation? If you are invested it is essential viewing. The person who said this is going into prepak won't have & you have to question the motive of someone putting that comment onto a chatboard with zero evidence to support it!

No, for me the shorting is an opportunity here & i'm going to buy again next week if the drop is sustained. I see this turning before too long & this price level is just too tempting to miss out on as i see it. Might regret it but well i'm going to get 3 shares for what i paid for one share originally. My mistake was buying then but buying at 50p odd will reward well i'm sure

That is exactly what the shorters prey on: Weary PIs selling their shares at huge losses. When the panic selling stops & people realise the longer term value, the shorts reverse. Simple as that!

I watched the results presentation again today. Don't really see any huge issues with this for the long term. Just being hammered down due to headline numbers as far as i can see!

This kind of stuff presents an opportunity for MCG. But the contracts have to be watertight to ensure a healthy return & if they are not be prepared to walk away!

This company is not a charity. They need to ditch any loss making contracts & focus on those with decent ROCE. That is what good, well run businesses do!

We would be well shot of WMT. Not really adding much commercially to this business!

Haha, yes i know. In the end day to day this company is running just fine as i see it. Just not turning the income into profit. Talk of the large debt i understand of course but this company can run day to day without really having to touch any of the cash & facilities. A slow burner but i'm planning to add more on further drops as my longer term view on this company hasn't really altered much from when i was buying at 150

JG just usual scaremongering nonsense. IAG/RR etc etc were all going bust too according to these bbs at some stage! The SP is just a number that is all & it will change over the next few years in multiples if the management do their job!

The shorts are annoying. I've heard people hollering on so many bb's they should be banned etc. I disagree. I think the shorts actually assist in sending a rocket message up the rear to badly managed businesses. If the shorts are wrong you have a golden opportunity to buy shares at once in a lifetime prices. If they are right it forces the company to change or drives them bust. It's a free market. The shorts are taking a big risk too!

It has fallen really badly. With the right conditions & stimuli no reason why it can't recover strongly a'la Rolls Royce. That is the hope anyway!

NT, yes i agree time & management competence are key. The debt is high yes but it always has been without too much problem. Now you have interest rate rises & earnings reduced which causes the problem. An NA sale at a decent price would be good. Interest rate cuts, inflationary pressure easing; price increases filtering through. all of these things will take time & those catalysts should see the SP worm turn. A question of when not if as i see it!

Yes, i think loads of people bought a lot in the 120s. I bought my first lot @152. Logic says to me to buy a lot more at these prices & i have the funds to do so. You start questioning your investment when it gets this low though!

I'm sure Garat is on borrowed time. They couldn't get rid of both at the same time. Need a succession in place!

Ballantyne, i remember you were in on this during Covid. Have you held since then? How much of a bargain would this price have looked then? That is what really baffles me here. When the whole business was stagnant the SP was 250. Fully operational; finance in place; investment graded credit rating etc etc but at 50p. Can't make it up really!
