I think that clarifies it Poker, thanks. Like i've said it really doesn't make a big difference on this one. If the SP had soared it would be terrible as i can't understand why this isn't explained in simple terms!

Grossly unfair i agree. The documents clearly state that qualifying shareholder is someone on the record on 25th 6pm. All bizarre. The stock market is inherently crooked anyway!

If Petrofac & Goldman have confirmed it i suppose it must be correct. I think it all comes out in the wash tomoz anyway!

If the SP had rocketed people would be rightly aggrieved as it has been terribly communicated but it hardly makes any difference!

Comeovog, well i hope you're correct but i really don't think it is that much of an issue either way. Personally i sold a few yesterday to fund the new ones in my ISA so if i've lost a few entitlement shares i don't think it amounts to much anyway. I had no real choice but to sell a few anyway as i'm maxed out new money wise in the ISA.

Real, i'm bullish for this stock for the future. However you can't ignore the reality of what is going on here. The debates will continue for 2 weeks here as i just see a range between 125-140ish until the offers done with. I think in truth everyone on here knows that PFC is worth far more than it's current price. The same is true of so many shares atm but the markets are really poor. Personally for me this year has become a year of 2 distinct halves. The 1st 6 months some great profits. The last 3-4 months pretty dismal tbh. Things will improve i'm confident of that!

i'm sure if you just do nothing other than buy your entitlement & just wait this is bound to come good. The outlook seems really to be getting missed/ignored by the market. Aside from the Covid situation i can't really see many negatives for PFC for anyone holding at these types of price for the mid-long term.

not gone short Real. I'm in for a long termer here but i'm realistic. Any rises here will be clobbered down by sellers who are hedged by their entitlement shares. Personally i will slice a portion here @140 levels & buy them back lower. It's just obvious to me that the next 2 weeks will be trading only. Once it's all done with the offer stuff i'd expect this to settle at @least 150 & much higher on any news dropping!

This will be a long old boring couple of weeks. Any rises towards 140 will be sold straight into i'm sure. Bit concerning what might happen when the whole lot starts flooding the market.

Real, It's a shame that Iskander's outlook message on Monday just pales into obscurity because of this offer stuff. I'm confident here that those who are prepared to ignore the short term noise will eventually do well here. Really need to sit on ones hands here!

History has never really been kind in the short term with these RIs & open offers. McColls did an OO @20p. It dipped to 18.5; IAG ; RR; NEX BWNG. None started too well. On the positive they all do well longer term!

Unfortunately for 2 weeks now Petrofac's actual business model outlook etc all becomes completely irrelevant to the SP. Just a complete trading casino now until 11th Nov!

The entitlement thing is not a big issue. You'd only have gained yesterday if you bought significantly below 140. Do the maths: So yesterday you buy 4000 shares @1.40 (£5600) you get 1000 shares @1.15 (£1150). Total cost for 5000 shares=£6750. You can buy 5000 shares @1.30 today. Total cost=£6500
