Here’s to next week then everybody who’s invested here. Think Cedric is as straight as they come as far as CEOs are concerned and I’m sure we have all come across some chancers in our time. I think next week will continue the very positive path we are on. GLA
Just for reference. The surface area of a fluorite ore body with an ore grade of 30% CaF2 with thickness of 30m would be 215m x 215m to get 1Mt CaF2 with an 80% recovery rate.
We know the grades are good already Tuvok. World class in the case of gallium.
It’s the quantity we are waiting on now.
Cedric has previously said he is targeting 50ktpa over a 20 year mine life. This would indicate a 1Mt recoverable resource of CaF2. I think it will be significantly larger.
With regard to Gallium, bear in mind that any single new source in the hundreds of tonnes would be strategically significant. The global gallium market is approx 500tpa (expected to increase significantly), so even a 25tpa operation over 20 years would be on everyone’s radar.
Well I’m going for 6Mt of recoverable CaF2 from the know 40% drilled area. This far exceeds the roughly 1Mt that would be required for 50ktpa acid grade fluorspar mine. So I believe Cedric has been very very conservative and rightly so. Massive upside in the fluorspar numbers.
Using the same figures I plumbed in for fluorspar I also got a recoverable Gallium figure of 600-800 tonnes.
Would be very very happy if the MRE was anywhere near these figures and bear in mind these are only based on the 40% drilled.
