How come it's now down to 19.5p down 9.3% on the day is anyone's guess. The bottom, 'banker2' - anyone's guess - Malaysian ringgit seems to be marginally strengthening this week.

Only need another 100% for evens. Smudge - agree with Libero and Newbee - nothing fishy going on here, just the receivables and the exchange rate are the problems and they're all out in the open.

Good to read you posting on here again after a sabbatical. The Allenby note is interesting and spells out a lot of the problems especially the exchange rate. 22% drop this year has really hurt and continues to do so. The guy Paul Cornelius at Walbrook confirmed what I pointed out a few posts ago (which was rubbished by His Jolliness) that as the company grows inevitably the receivables will tend to grow with it. The receivables are now all classed as short-term and long-term ones are in. The previous results differentiated but totalling them where needed they were : £5.4m at Jun '14; £6.2m at Dec '14; and £8.4m at Jun '15. This plots an annoying increase but not the massive one depicted in the latest half-yearly report which simply compared Jun '14 to the latest Jun '15 (obviously normal accounting practice, I know). Very concerning how the sp has disintegrated but it will have a bounce soon IMO. The RSI is down to 8!! The business isn't going under, it has the £3m facility and won't be doing a placing. I'm going to average down some but cash is rather tight.

Having spoken to Paul Cornelius at Walbrook (IR) he forwarded me the broker note issued by Allenby on 29/9/15. This highlights the 22% drop in the Malaysian MYR/GBP rate this year. Obviously with receivables taking around 365 days to come in, this drop has been very detrimental. "Although underlying business is strong and cash position did improve (£580k at period end from £218k at Dec '14) .....we have reduced our forecasts". May well not be the bottom, but as Allenby says "Despite the reductions(in forecasts) we still expect, albeit reduced, top-line growth.'

Sorry to hear that. This is surely going to have a great bounce soon. Another thing about 'receivables' - obviously they do go up as business increases. Most of this year the company has stated finances are improving, and I believe them rather than a few punters on here. Unfortunately, the sp does not lie and the market wants blood it seems, at the moment. Fickle thing the market though.

Receivables have shot up and yet the finances don't seem otherwise in too bad a shape. No placing is going to happen because £3m working facility : "The Working Capital Facility is a revolving credit facility and is being made available to the Company over a four year period at the Bank's effective cost of funds rate (estimated currently at 3.8-4.0%) + 1.5% per annum. The effective lending rate therefore is estimated at 5.5% per annum. Interest is chargeable only on the amount drawn down." They've issued 2 RNS's this year stating the finances in better shape or money received from Indo. Telco and they are still confident of expanding the business. That has not yet been determined. Can't make my mind on this takeover idea. Looks like a lot of trouble getting your Computer Services buddies to buy up 29% to push your (Platinum consulting) combined total over 51% just to get a good say on the Board. Platinum, I think, have been invested a while but Corp. Computer Serv. are just since April. Spoke to Advisors Buchanan and Nomad Alex Brearley at Allenby. Nothing really disclose or new to report. Alex states the 'Blue Book' on takeovers covered by I-of-Man and the UK is about 100 pages long and wouldn't commit to 'if a Concert party holds over 30% they must make an offer for the whole company'. However, I believe that to be the case. The letter regarding a PURPORTED requisition for EGM is just using the word PURPORTED as that is standard legal jargon at this stage until the letter's contents are validated. Looks to me like we will hear from DQE fairly quickly as they will have a bit of work to do before such a meeting(circulars, etc) and they have no case I can see to deny one. I'm leaning to a takeover at about 9p in the offing. My average is 10p but beggars can't be choosers - if anyone's got a much higher average it might be prudent to average down while one still can DYOR etc.

The highest Corp.Computer Services might have paid is about 9p as they bought in a period when the sp went up from about 3.5p to 9p. Not sure about the other party, Platinum Consulting, they've probably held for longer than a year (?). Bondholders of the $50m Bond to DQE Mauritius are significantly affected by any change in ownership and stand to benefit greatly, i.e they seem to have covered themselves nicely should anything like a takeover occur : "The Bondholders can also redeem the Bonds at a price that would yield a 25 per cent per annum IRR (the "Increased Redemption Price") on the occurrence of a change of control event of either DQE or DQE Mauritius". The plot thickens.
