It seems there's a bit of trading games being played here quite regularly - with from my letter with Linda, no quick end in sight for the DFS. Someone slamming through all those 20k trades today in about 5 minutes for a grand total of about £10k can manipulate the sp down sufficiently to buy back at a small profit. Maybe not, mm's no fools, soon get the Ask back up if anyone Buys anything.

It's not clear exactly what the delay is with the Chinese authorities but not unusual. I am thinking on a basic level the DFS done to Chinese standards requires some regulatory sign-off even if not in China - that is what Linda is inferring. Perhaps, though, this is not just bureaucracy but negotiations on a JV or even takeover. However, It seems a big leap to say 'the Chinese wanting their own way on this. Thus Chaarat board have not given in the negotiations."

Got a pleasant and re-assuring email reply from her today : "I can reassure you that the process of obtaining approvals in relation to compliance of the DFS with Chinese regulatory standards continues. The costs of the DFS as prepared by NFC and NERIN (as we originally announced) are contained within our original budget. As soon as it is appropriate to do so we will release an update to the market. All I can say is that we are working hard to progress matters for the benefit of all shareholders and thank you once again for your patience. You're right Dekel did say that and I can only think he was referring to Blackrock who went below 5% on June 25th 2013 and won't report again their holding as they don't have to. According to Linda's audits, Blackrock dropped off her Significant Shareholders sometime in early 2015 when she posted the figures in June 2015. Whether they have 'finished' I don't know, perhaps not, but have certainly reduced from their 12m odd in June 2013. Perhaps they are still an irritation.

Nothing untoward in my book. Plenty of stocks have patterns of Sells coming in much stronger and longer than ours. Take this week : Mon at 8 am about 200k bought on the Bell; Fri about 110k sold on the Bell - not big trading but a pattern of 10k trades. IMO it doesn't matter much and no-one is really drip-feeding into our market hence no 'Holdings RNS' since Dec 2014 except when Fasanara changed their name to Labro in May 2015. So, no ii crossing any thresholds. I'm happy nothing is untoward. I've emailed this afternoon my best wishes to Linda and asked how things are going and mentioned the Chinese New Year too, if that will affect us. If, 91244344, what a terrible moniker, is correct we will get a DFS and a JV simultaneously - that will be worth waiting for.

Reckon you've got that right, there is a battle. Just looking at the timing again of the amendment on 30th July, although the official request for an EGM from 'Platinum Consulting Group, Anil Chintapalli and Corporate Computer Services' (Requisitioners') was not made until Sept, our Bod probably knew all about it. So, they've put in these new clauses to fight the Requisitioners. They cannot prevent them from getting on the Board IMO but they can stop them making sweeping changes. Worrying also though is the current possible defaults being discussed with Bondholders. These must be some things in 'small print' cause can't see where we've defaulted myself.

Poor that an extension to the Bond to 18months for the 2nd tranche was agreed in July and not notified. Don't like the 'discussions' over possible 'events of default' may have occurred - hopefully just the small print and can be got round. The new 'event default triggers' also agreed in July seem to strengthen the wishes of the Bondholders to maintain the current Bod and particularly Tapaas. This was agreed before these 2 new execs started trying to get on the Board so perhaps not linked, but appears to be clauses to secure the current Bod for the Bondholders.

Exactly with Datatern it could be $millions tomorrow or drag on for years.

Obviously better that these have been extended rather than cause a big immediate problem, but shows there's a lot riding on getting some cash in this year. Macaleer's shareholding not mentioned and I reckon it would have to be RNS'd if changed from 13% in RNS Sep 16th - must be in probate now but no evidence of reduced.

Got pleasant, timely reply from her. She says : We are in discussions with the Bondholders for the draw down of the second tranche($15m) and they have agreed to extend the period for the draw down. It is at their option and they will give us the amount only if they are satisfied that we require these funds. Business is indeed picking up and in a month's time we will come out with an update release. Our Nomads are verifying the credentials of the proposed directors. On receiving their feedback we will then proceed with the next steps. ---------------------------------------------- So, 2nd tranche of money very probable but not finalised. Business picking up. Looks like they are delaying the EGM to me but it's still inescapable soon. In some ways, all good.

Some of my latest thoughts on Twitter : R.James Macaleer ex-Chairman had 25.8m shares on June 30th representing over 13%. Surely this percentage can't have changed without RNS, Director or not? Probate on his estate would not happen instantly and he passed away on 29th Oct. IMO his estate would therefore still own over 13%. The further drawdown of the loan facility for $3m in Nov/Dec, surely means no need for any placement and in general this company has tried not to dilute. Datatern is I suppose the BigOne but up in the air; Motif - widely thought that we'll cash in some of our holding for cash late March (isn't it?) however sp lost ground - a novel antibiotic surely is on the world's most wanted list at the moment and Iclaprim may have some fast-tracking; M2M looking at major move with merger. Looking back using http://fool.co.uk and historical prices, there doesn't seem to be any big volume with just one day over 1.2m shares since death. Sp seems to have been going south soon after death but IMO coincidence as, repeat, surely needs RNS but no volume for major reduction from 28m. Fundamentals look very good for news to trigger rebound and RSI looks around 14 ! Volume petered out too. I want some more 'cause I believe in this company, they communicate well and I like what they do. --------------------------------------- Nothing much new there - but I'm on for some more at these prices. Thanks for breakdown of DQE business model and realities behind the Bonds. Not sure why the 2nd tranche of $15m will be drawn down at the option of the Investor - surely that means 'we'll give you the extra bit if we want to whether you want it or not' ?!? Maybe Nomad or Rashida should inform if someone can be bothered asking - Smudge, could you email her? That 25% Mgmt Options pool on DQE Mauritius at liquidity event, the last 'throw-away' sentence in the Dec '14 mega RNS, is rather nasty isn't it - don't suppose many noticed it right at the end.

Like to speak to you about the 9/12/14 Bond rescue package. It stated : "The Bonds will be issued in two tranches, the first of which will be for US$35 million to be completed within one month from the date of the Bonds, being 9 December 2014 (the "Closing Date"). The second tranche of US$15 million can be drawndown at the option of the investor within 12 months of the Closing Date." We haven't heard anything of this 2nd tranche which is now out-of-date, so perhaps we did not draw on this facility and stuck at $35m? The $35m were meant to really get our projects moving so perhaps business will pick up. Don't like your sarcastic comment on 'receivables' maybe not even being due (presumably you think they are lying?) - that seems strange. We own 75% of DQE India and whether diluted to hell or not this fact remains. So, surely, a relationship with the Indian sp seems sensible though sadly lacking. The 'requisitioners' and the EGM will no doubt happen soon and have been, presumably deliberately, delayed as unwanted and hostile. Looks like they must happen and there intentions made public soon. Won't be long IMO. You're very knowledgeable on this company and really good to have your input and further thoughts on the Bonds and India - would be most welcome. Massive volume today compared to usual may well get us going a bit.

Floydian - not much difference between an RI and an OO except you can usually trade your Rights and you can't trade your allocation with an OO, but virtually the same. NickiM. is the expert on the fundamentals of GPX but with regards this OO, it doesn't make sense to buy @ 4p IMO when you can probably get all you want currently at just under 3.75p. If you want more than say £10k it might well be the case that you might influence the sp but if you want more than that, I'd see a shrink first - lol.
