I'm still trying to get Seymour Pierce to confirm or deny whether these new allegations are based on the same 'investigation' last November. It looks increasingly like they are and that they are fabricated. I note in this IC article : 'Remarkably similar accusations were made last year' 'The REHASHED allegations knocked Asian Citrus’ shares again last week'

It's projects are : joint venture with Newmont Venture Limited on Wau-Morobe licenses, joint venture with Barrick Gold Corporation on Wamum tenement, joint venture with Gold Anomaly Limited on Crater Mountain licenses, joint Venture with Newcrest Mining Limited on Wamum and Pu Sam Cap in Vietnam, funded solely by the Company. 4 joint ventures where we're letting the other company get on with it and Pu Sam Cap that we've parked. We've recently had updates from Gold Anomaly (brilliant last update), Newcrest and Newmont. This share was over 8p a year ago. Which projects are worth the most to TPJ? What is going to get this share up again? Answers please.

Following the Company's decision announced on 26 January 2012 not to participate in the future funding of its pro rata share of the Crater Mountain Project ("the Project") and the subsequent eventual dilution to an 8% interest, the Board has concluded that it is no longer appropriate to replicate every announcement made by Gold Anomaly Limited in the relation to the Project. Gotta be a big mistake not to participate in the further funding last Jan. Now this massive upgrade to the Gold. Why issue this RNS like this is poor. Sounds like they are really regretting keeping a bigger stake and contributing to more funding. Too late now. Why couldn't they issue this RNS : Great upgrade by Gold Anomaly - great for TPJ shareholders. IN FUTURE, we won't issue an RNS everytime Gold Anomaly do. TPJ will continue to put out announcements as required under its reporting obligations and it also anticipates providing general updates on the Project within its Interim and Preliminary Results announcements.

Thanks for that early update. TPJ haven't alerted their shareholders directly yet. As you prob. know they've got an 8% interest in this Gold Anomaly Papua New Guinea project. Just topped up!

These shares on HK being repurchased - are they going to have much affect on the LSE listing. I suppose they will but less directly? Riddler - are you suggesting the sp was held back to help these repurchases? Repurchasing - opposite of dilution, so long-term beneficial?

Do you have an opinion on that horrible report I posted - the link is there below at 17:07 if you missed it yesterday. It is China, so you'd expect a bit of subterfuge. Are the company reliable and trustworthy in your opinion?

Your £91k is a Buy AND £102k @36.25 at 10:01 282,000 shares reported as Sell I reckon that's a BUY myself and a 250,000 @ 36.25 trade at 10:07 £90k reported as ? ( sells around then @ 36.0) So that's at least 3 massive buys today - 2 going through wrongly as Sell or ?

Last two paragraphs of the company's statements I quote were from today's RNS - just the first big one from the 19th. Headline profit might look down but it's all about trees maturing (I think)

From Trading update 19th Jan : As all the orange trees in the Xinfeng Plantation became fruit bearing in the previous period and there was no transfer of infant trees to orange trees during the six months ended 31 December 2011, the net gain on the change in fair value of biological assets is anticipated to be substantially lower than the amount in the comparable period last year. The Group's profit after net gains on change in fair value of biological assets and share based payments for the six months ended 31 December 2011 is therefore expected to be lower than the Group's profit after net gains on change in fair value of biological assets and share based payments for the six months ended 31 December 2010. As shareholders are aware, the net gain on change in fair value of biological assets does not have any effect on the cash flow of the Group. The decrease in profit is mainly due to lower increase in the net gain on change in fair value of biological assets as all the orange trees in the Xinfeng Plantation becoming fruit bearing in the previous period and there was no transfer of infant trees to orange trees during the six months ended 31 December 2011. The core net profit, which refers to profit for the period excluding net gain on change in fair value of biological assets and share-based payments, for the six months ended 31 December 2011 was approximately RMB308.8 million, compared to approximately RMB204.7 million for corresponding period last year, representing an increase of approximately 50.9%. The increase was mainly attributable to the increase in production volume of winter orange, the increase in average selling price of oranges and six months results of Beihai BPG are consolidated into the Group during the period compared to one month results in corresponding period last year. ALL BOILS DOWN TO : Core net profit up 50% Young trees not transfered to orchards during this period so no increase in change in fair value of biological assets. That's what you're missing.
