Agree, a bit of a dog of a share but you can't win them all. Happily I'm well diversified so not a big problem.

I agree that nationalisation has a bad track record but maybe it's time to have another bash.
I see no logic in buying my energy from a company that doesn't actually produce it after using a comparison site that adds 20% on to the price.

Neither did I but then again I didn't post on BBs saying they were buys.

A bad credit rating is probably no bad thing, borrowing is often the source of poverty.

Nationalise the energy industry, the only sensible option, cuts out all the middlemen and their profits.

Thansks TOM78. It always amzesme that people invest without understanding the basics. Having said that it is better to invest in a share like BATS rathe rthan some of the dogs on AIM.

I don't think it's quite as easy as that, if only it was.

I think those that bought at 74p and sold at £2.63 might disagree that this is one of the worst companies you could invest in.

As Kenny Rogers sang "You need to know when to hold them, know when to fold them".

All of stock market profits have come from just 1% of the stocks so long term holding is a risky business.

I don't advocate short term trading but also I don't advocate long term holding, my experience shows that holding for about a year is the ideal time period.

Newbie - don't average down, too risky.

There are many ways to make money - I tend to follow the market, it is usually right, disagreeing is high risk.
