Inside = onside
MM I'd say it would be removed if we continue to fail to find buyers or otherwise fail to continue trading.. they've got to have some sort of capacity to protect themselves especially in as uncertain a climate as current.
The sheer fact that they've issued a waiver as opposed to pressing to take it to court strongly suggests they are inside as it stands.
"carpet bagger" or whatever you want to call it, isn't the name of the game with shares to make money?
Just had a check back to October when the initial buyback started, they've bought back ~115m shares so far. A good start but some way to go before it starts impacting dividends materially.
Inflation and pressure on consumer spending is the watchout here, though they historically navigate these spells well when they happen.
I'm in for about £2.3k, at just over 2p, enough that I'd be a bit f'd off if it went to zero, but not enough that it would start having a material impact on me outside my investment account.
But the rewards if they do get through this would start to become noticeable.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda is a frequent mantra of share trading. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that, if we could all correctly predict the future we would all be extremely wealthy by now.
Thinking about it, I'm just trying to think if I can fit any more clichés in that post.
Not sure if 5GIF are in a hurry to clear their remaining stake, hence the drop?
I share the disappointment here, this was one I had high hopes for this year, yet it seems destined to be a bottom drawer job for now. That being said I'm not selling any as I still feel this will come good eventually.
It's a public holiday, I believe it's the Orthodox Easter?
It'll be 500p by cop today. ;)
Up and about a bit early this morning so decided to have a look (no intention of investing) at the syme board.. wow is that a toxic board. Accusations being flung around of drug abuse by other posters and all sorts.
Bobat lack of volume is making this struggle to move atm.
Not defaulted as of now. Been unable to repay a loan due to circumstances beyond our control ie sanctions. POG has the money to pay but physically can't, big difference to not having the money and not paying.
Seen that buybacks are commencing, £750m to spend. Some useful inormation re buybacks and the rules regarding them in the RNS, I know there are often questions around buybacks and what a co (not just TSCO) can and can't do with them.
... it's so quiet!

I'm in.. managed to trade myself to nearly 2x my original holding over the last week and a bit.
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Inverted market. Happens occasionally but doesn't tend to hold for long
Ref Norway and selling of assets.. the difference is that Norway had a long-term strategy whereas we, as a nation, seem to struggle to think about beyond the end of the day.

I would say that there were a lot of forces outside Labour's control (ie global banking crisis) that were a factor in the state of public for Nance's at that time.
The most spectacular bit, if there is a Conservative defeat at the next election, would be the sheer fact of them losing given their dominant performance in 2019.
Any link to news re sanctions?
