Putting the funding of drilling Cascabel, Porv and Rio to one side, our spending commitments across our portfolio over the next five years is hundreds of millions. If the Solgold board are serious about developing Cascabel on our own, we will need to offload a significant number of these sites, if we cant get these regional JVs off the ground..

Unless its opening the door to a third major, (my preferred option), that wants a stake of roughly 10% or an insti investor, I think its safe to assume any raise on the open market will have to be at a discount.. usually around 10-15% to market value at the time.

I would say, until we get any further solid news, this will sit in a trading range of between 25-30... or a bid?

I posted Tuesday morning that after the PFS release, the share would begin its traditional post news slide... its completely predictable and expected.. even more so with the spectre of funding now on the horizon, and not going anywhere. The only part of yesterdays RNS and presentation i was unhappy with was the vague, con committal noises regarding funding..

We wont rerate until that is significantly more clear... until then, this is a traders dream.. as the decent down in price after such a rise is as predictable as night following day. We are all invested here to make profits... with Solg, over the last 5 years, trading the news spikes is the best way to do it... yes, you may risk being out if/when news lands, but you don't have to trade your whole holding.... you get no extra merit for claiming to have have held and refusing to take any profits off the table... no gold star, or pat on the back.. its not any mark of honour..... you have just been diluted.

JMI.. I am quite happy with the PFS this morning.
I am assuming the markets luke warm reaction is simply due to an element of 'we have heard this before... how are you going to fund it'.. A robust PFS is one thing, but how will a company as small as Solgold fund this giant mine? the market will probably only truly rerate Solg on some solid progress on the funding package.. we need to show the markets we can fund it..

JMI what I meant by that is, the markets are not going to be fooled by using higher prices to make the economics more exciting.. (I am aware the prices are set by the party doing the study not Solgold) but if the PFS is robust using the original, lower prices, the market and wider mining industry should respond kindly..

I also see a copper price circa 3.50... as that has been used in other studies released in recent months.. and gold circa 1600. Any higher and I feel it could be seen as padding out the economics.

another consideration would be the metal prices used in the study.. I want to see the prices the same as or close to the original prices in the PEA.. it would not be received too well if the prices in the PFS are significantly higher, regardless of todays metal prices.

JMI, surely after all the time spent on this reworked PFS we should be expecting better than 23-24?... I would regard that level as a disappointment, and I think the markets would too.. we don't have to wait long to find out.

price has dropped on just small volume.. so its certainly not any insti sellers dumping on leaking info.. quite why anyone would sell now, before tomorrow, is an odd one to me.. but hey.

Darryl did say just a few weeks ago 'Very low cost mine' so I am relaxed about tomorrow. As long as the IRR is over 28% I'm sure we will be happy, but I don't see any news tomorrow seeing us past mid 40s.. could be a great day to trade a chunk, as after any initial jump, over the coming weeks, we will see the spectre of financing/funding and the inevitable, now traditional, Solg slow share price descent.

'IF' is a very big word though in that statement.... sell it now I say

Musk has just bid 41bln to buy Twitter.. 41 billion to buy a little messaging app.... surely a few billion could be better spent here, ensuring a generational supply of copper for his bland looking vehicles..
