I also believe their is a fair chance this EGM is related to the multi million embezzlement that took place.. Ward could be on his way out? I find it very difficult to believe no heads roll as a result of that… especially if Darryl wants to show he is running a new professional board and not a boys club

I can only assume it is funding and permit related… we are clearly currently moving slowly to preserve cash ( frustrating given we are an explorer) but understandable

it’s simply a regulatory requirement to submit this report within a certain number of days of the PFS.. the mania this has triggered is insane… Solg are just adhering to technical requirements.

With Solg shares generally in sticky hands, I’m not sure we are overly affected by the day to day market sentiment… I think our drop back down to this level is related to the predictable movement of our share after any price spike.. and with no funding news, we are where we are.

If I as a minnow could see this happening, then the board must also have known that any imminent raise would be at a big discount to recent highs, if it wasn’t announced in quick succession to the PFS.. that is what’s entirely predictable, great to trade, but disappointing from a progress perspective

Quady, I don’t care at all about other peoples views on different topics outside of Solg.. but Slug clearly has a great understanding of wider market mechanics than I do, than probably anyone else on this board, and that can only come about from years of experience…. Just because someone may read and listen to what he posts, or enjoy some of what he says, does not mean they approve of everything he says on all topics all the time. That is such a tunnel vision, polarised, with us or against us view that is so damaging these days…… it is completely fine to have a range of views… we don’t all have to think the same

I guess part of my low expectations, besides their track record, was the very disappointing, minimal reference to any financing progress accompanying the PFS.

I agree with the PFS out the way the market is expecting a raise, it’s a predictable as night following day.. I sold 25% of my holding on the day it was released, as it came without any indication of financing progress, a fall was almost inevitable.

I hold out hope, that one day soon Mather sells his holding to third party before he is out the Door

I would certainly prefer a larger deal, preferably one that BHP don’t particularly like, but after holding for so many years, and the endless can kicking, I guess I have very low expectations….

My prediction, and I hope I’m wrong, but I think there will be a relatively small raise, in the 20-40 mil region, some private, some open, primary bid style offering.

Essentially kicking the genuine, large scale funding can further down the road. I’m fully expecting the board to underwhelm us once again.

In general I agree with the start of this thread… the boards glacial pace at which they show not progress really is a wonder to behold.. the opportunity cost of being invested here is painful to accept
