Cornerstone and Irwin have been very quiet for quite a while now… and today cornerstone announced more stock options for their directors and staff..

Probably when we are invited to take part in the primary bid placing around 21-22p……

Standard Solg when we are starved of any news ..... and progress due to conserving funds.

Its almost a tradition for Solg to wait for the share price to fall away from recent highs before announcing a placing.....

they are earning their big salaries by calling price drops, well after they have happened

they change their mind more often than my girlfriend

would anyone like to have a guess where the copper price will settle.... the recent drop is now reflecting the coming global recession, but will it drop back below $3?... not great timing for anyone expecting top dollar in any possible near term buyout.

I'm liking the realistic/conservative 17p price estimate.... but i don't quite understand why they have given it a 'High' risk rating

I simply don't understand Solgolds reluctance, or is it inability to monetise some of what we have to fund....

As I posted recently, the board are like an old age pensioner living in a small, dirty, squalid little house, with a basement full of valuable antiques, but because they can’t bear to lose them, they keep them locked away while living on handouts… from us investors.

The market simply doesnt believe tiny little Solgold can bring this giant tier 1 to production... and rightly so.

Only a full, water tight financing agreement will push this share price anywhere near where it should be without a bid or free carry JV.

But even if a full Finance package is agreed, I believe the market would soon begin to lose interest all over again and the share price spike would fall away.. as is traditional with Solgold..... I think the wider market would still doubt our boards ability to deliver it on time or without any crippling overspend, as they have never shown anything that displays an ability to do so.

The problem bubble is you have been posting that same message for the last 4 years… there are now an extra 500 million shares in existence over that time. And we are rapidly approaching the point where we need money… we have already slowed right down to try to save what little cash we have left….

Can anyone tell me the date when Solgold first announced they were looking to joint venture the regionals with interested parties?

I have looked through the rns but cant find it..

I have emailed IR twice over the last 13 months and was given a response on both occasions..

'This has generated good interest and discussions are ongoing with multiple parties' and
'talks are ongoing with interested parties that are in DD'

6 months later still nothing... no update of any kind to us plebs

The 'Rapid Development Timetable' shown around 15 mins in, really does illustrate how projects of this magnitude will just slide off in to the never ending distance without a Major, with deep pockets and experience to get a grip of it..

According to Nicks timetable just 2 years ago, we should be well in to the construction of the mine now..

LIMA, June 1 (Reuters) - Southern Copper Corp (SCCO.N) said that a fire broke out at its Los Chancas mining project on Tuesday evening, at around the same time as another fire started at MMG Ltd's (1208.HK) Las Bambas copper mine, sources said, amid intensified protests against mines in recent months.

Communities in Peru, the world's No. 2 copper producer, are demanding higher benefits from the industry and prices for the red metal remain high.

The situation is especially challenging for MMG and Southern Copper.

Las Bambas is one of the world's largest copper mines, and operations have been halted since April 20 by protesting members of the indigenous Huancuire community that has settled inside company property.

Southern Copper suspended operations earlier this year for over 50 days at its Cuajone mine, as neighboring residents demanded a share of company profits, shutting the mine's water supply in protest.

The government of leftist President Pedro Castillo has struggled to appease protesters since taking office last July. Castillo was elected with massive support in mining regions amid pledges to better redistribute mining profits.

In a statement on Wednesday, Southern Copper confirmed the fire at Los Chancas, a $2.6 billion project that has yet to be built.
