To me the issue is, should they have waited until he has at least achieved something, before offering him a fat options package???

So far we have no sign of him actually achieving anything... shutting down operations and cutting staff is not an achievement.

Should the strike price have been more ambitious?

most seem to think this stinks, without anything tangible the board can point to justify it.

Bozi, I had high hopes when I bought in to this share many years ago... dreamed of circa 80p days...

As someone posted earlier stated, we should have sold in the 40s.... what I would give to see 40p again soon...

And I’d be willing to bet my house, Scott’s mysterious options criteria will be based on him achieving his much mentioned and presented ‘efficiency savings’

We are not getting 50p.. if Bob does arrange a sale.. and that’s a big If… it’s a distressed sale..

It’s absolutely Nothing like the Noront deal that some like to endlessly compare to….

They were bid for… we are are currently, desperately trying to engineer a monetising event… the entire mining world knows our management want to sell or JV…. We are not fighting off bids….And the price will reflect that.

We have been like a Dutch hooker in a window, flashing our assets, hoping for business for a worrying amount of time…. And not heard a peep… the chances we are going to get close to fair value, or anywhere near what many posters on here regularly fantasise about, have long gone….

We have ceased all activity and are now looking pretty desperate for any deal we can create…

In some ways I understand the slimming down of our management team.. it’s been bloated and overpaid, for very little return over the years.

However, I would like to hear Scott square his multiple recent statements about having/keeping more of the skills in house, instead of using outside consultants, to progress any studies to keep costs down… yet at the same time reducing our in house team.. seems like contradiction.

Greg’s new paper supplies must have been the new efficiency savings Scott was shouting about at the recent PDAC conference.. he had nothing else to talk about.

I am assuming that is exactly how our quick and smart, strategic review is being done...

Solgold has verged on becoming a lifestyle company for the board for a while... I fully expect it to be delayed in to Q3.

DeKat... that's the problem... We are not actually doing anything other than the strategic review.. all other regional exploration has been stopped... Has been since last January.. We are an exploration company that is currently doing no exploration!!, with no plans announced to restart any exploration any time soon. You would be very justified in asking what are all our staff doing day to day???

The only news here now is SR related. Our board have given the end of Q2 as date to complete the SR by.. we are not a multinational with a multiple large divisions all over the world.. we are a small junior explorer, with 1 proven asset... its totaly absurd it should take so long to decide what to do with our only proven asset.. and anyone expecting Solgold to deliver by the end of Q2 doesnt understand our track record.. I fully expect our board to kick the can down the road and at some point during q2, and announce a delay.... citing reasons XYZ...

Darren. Someone can be invested here, and hope to eventually make a profit that rewards holding, but still take a negative view of how our management have performed over recent years and be vocal about that.. They can also be vocal about pointing out clear ramping. It doesn’t make them negative..

I want to see and read both sides of an argument.

The price is where it is because there are clear risks that not everything is rosy in our garden.. in fact parts of our garden look like they are in danger of turning brown. not every post has to be positive spun propaganda..

If Credit Suisse collapses next, that is a different ball game for European banking compared to SVB... and it looks like it could be starting to unfold this morning. The Saudis have said no more funding to rescue it....

we need our asset Sold or JV'd ASAP.. pull your finger out board.

Id be interested to know if our coffee plantation, fish farms and bakery have ever turned a profit...

its totally absurd, that a small explorer, could take up to 9 months to review how to move forward with its only proven asset... same old same old.. slow and stupid.. how are they filling their days??

Anyone claiming to have insider contacts, that just happens to feed them information that confirms their clear ramping, needs to be laughed out of town..

I think its the correct decision now to leave BHP out in the cold when it comes to any discussions about any possible sale or JV.... but I'm sure he Bob would be very happy, as would I, for BHP to offer a better, counter deal if they wanted to.. but absolutely, leave them out of the picture right now.

This is another video where he essentially waffles on about efficiency and streamlining Solgold… as if he is trying to turn around a corporation the size of BP or Citibank with tens of thousands of employees all over the world…

He does say one interesting thing, and that is when the interviewer tried to press him on timelines moving forward, specifically regarding Cascabel and Porvenir, having shelved the PFS and PEA….. he response….” We have no timelines”… then adds just middle management waffle…. At least be interviewer did try to get some reasonable information out of him..

yes Dave.. Solg is just going to drift down until we start getting SR or other positive news... we always drift on no news... its as true as night follows day
