Here’s a small snippet from the long note on SolGold (SOLG.to) (SOLG.L) in IKN718, out last Sunday evening:

“…as the NR last week from the company showed, there’s still much to be desired about the way the company is being run (5). A slightly bizarre NR that announced a delay to the closure of the CGP deal due to the need to re-file its UK prospectus and include its latest quarterly results (part of its Canadian market obligations). A corporate FUBAR for sure and the NR went on to suggest that heads were rolling Corporate HQ in London (fwiw, there’s reason to believe IR exec Fawzi Hanano is one of the heads to have rolled).

Today we got the NR from SOLG announcing the filing of the tardy prospectus and, for the first time in forever, Mr. Hanano is not listed as one of the contacts.

we need to be up for sale.. or at least ENSA, as our management have proven they are incable of progressing it any further forward.. and if we carry on treading water going nowhere, I could see us eventually losing the exploitation rights for the site... Time is simply not on our side any more..

I think the people in the off takers office have probably grown as weary at Solgs constant, poor levels of progress and delivery as the rest of us.... and probably doubt Solgs capability/competency to deliver anything in the same way the market clearly does...

Our level of poor management and delivery over the years, has probably lost us a great deal of goodwill in all areas that involve partnership deals.

full speed ahead? it was announced it was underway back in October. We are closing in on March.... that will be 6 months and not a fecking peep about how its progressing, or any timescale when it should be concluded....

Our management are a total shetshow... probably sat around, feet up, smoking cigars, laughing at shareholders gullibility..

Redknight, you seem to live in a dungeons and dragons type world, constructed of your own financial, fantasy make believe… endlessly creating new fantasy alternative scenarios.

No wonder we couldn’t get a JV partners for any of the regionals… as a business partner, we must be seen as a total liability… who wants to partner up with a proven, known, incompetent company, led by a lazy, underachieving management?

I have been withering in my assessment of our management and board over the last couple of years…. utterly woeful.. just abysmal, under performance again and again. It seems there is no end to it.

There have been multiple occasions, over the years, where we have been made to amend and resubmit official documents. It’s become embarrassing. Heads should be on sticks.

Whatever the outcome of the strategic review, we do need an experienced CFO.. you can’t deliver a Spin out, a JV or a Sale without someone with some brains, understanding and experience in that area…

but this strategic review process will be dragged out far longer than many hope…

If we keep dropping they may try again with the same bid...
