Forgot to add that I agree, yes, the new person does look on the ball - I'm assuming you're referring to the new CEO Graham Reid? There was a link posted earlier to a recent video he did, have you seen it? He's not to be confused with Graham Bell though! - there was a report a few weeks back by an investor on Twitter who referred to the CEO as Graham Bell. There was a poster on here who took great pleasure of reminding us that the name was wrong! Did you read the board much before investing here? Maybe you saw the posts? He's gone now. Hi Eric - thanks for your compliments and good to have you on board as a new investor. You'll find many on here are really knowledgeable and will be able to answer most of your questions if you have any? As for CLON, yes I do know of them - I've been in and out of them a few times over the years and for the most part, managed to make a decent profit each time. Always seemed to rise on a periodic 'pump and dump' that never saw any actual news flow though. Must be over 10 years now that they've been waiting for ratification of their permit - I hope it doesn't take that long here! What are your thoughts and expectations for SAE? Are you invested for the overall package or maybe just the tidal? As for SUP, are you Sincerely Counting On Uskmouth To Secure the environmental permit? OHS

Cracking find OT! - I'd been googling my usual search criteria this morning but changed Jan 2021 to Feb 2021 in the hope of finding sokme fresh news but didn't come across this. I'm very interested to know what the source material is for the report mentioned and who 'recommends for approval': "The planning application is recommended for approval in a report to be scrutinised by Newport City Councillors this week".

It also states that, "The conversion is being brought forward by the listed Simec Atlantis Energy business". - does this mean that the target dates of bringing the plant online have moved closer? I think originally planned for sometime in 2022 for Phase 1 but need to check previous RNSs to confirm? Very much looking forward to seeing what develops over this week! At the very least, it'll make a nice change from last week! OHS

Also ST (et al) - it seems from this letter that it is just a matter of NRW advising NC that prior to granting SAE's application, they should ensure certain 'conditions' are stipulated so as not to warrant any objections form NRW. There are 2 particular animals this refers; otters and water voles - and from reading what NRW have stated - regarding water voles:

"We further consider that sufficient information has been provided in respect of water voles but advise that further information regarding the working details affecting this species are secured through condition".

And regarding otters, they look to be simply trying to establish confirmation that either the railway lines development is either part of the existing application or that a seperate application will be submitted:

"Therefore, if your authority considers the application is seeking permission for ‘development’ at the railway line, please notify us. If the proposed works at the railway line do not fall under this application; or we have misunderstood the ES statements and there are no potential ground disturbances relating to the reinstatement of the lighting, we are satisfied Requirement 2 has been addressed. For completeness, the applicant should be aware of the following advisory:

"NRW advises that it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all potential impacts on protected species are identified and assessed; appropriate mitigation implemented as necessary; and that any appropriate licences (e.g. European Protected Species licence from Natural Resources Wales under Regulation 55 of The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017) are secured prior to works commencing. Please note that the granting of planning permission does not negate the need to obtain a licence".

Nothing here reads to me like a concern but as always, another perspective would add some balance.......over to you SCoutS?

ST - saw that ad well. The May 2021 date is the expected date of the FINAL decision after the standard 6 week consultation period that follows the DRAFT decision. Timings are therefore on schedule and as stated.

Hi ST - yes, saw that yesterday. Did you note that he referred to his question as sequential and numbered it 13? If you then look at the 2 previous updates from 05/01/21 you will see they refer to Q1-6 with the latter of the 2 correspondences being the answers from SAE to the 6 questions. I haven’t seen anything of 7-12 so can we assume other updates will follow once those questions have been answered? One to keep an eye on certainly.

Phyl - 20.84 to buy now so it looks like buys and sells are more accurately displayed on here now - keep an eye on trades throughout the day and especially any delayed ones after close to cross reference the times.

It's been like this the last few days Phyl - I've done a number of dummy trades to get live prices and throughout yesterday for example - I was limited to only getting quoted for £1000 and at a price of 21.3p - the same price the trades were being marked as sells on LSE. Earlier this morning I could only get quoted 21.2 for £100 worth and now I can get £1000 worth at 21.08! A few trades thrown in at 22.0p make it look like these lower trades are sells which they are not. OHS

This is how I see 'our' (speaking as an investor) current situation - Simec Uskmouth Power (SUP) are potentially within grasp of achieving the Environmental Permit (EP) from Natural Resources Wales (NRW) providing that they have submitted ALL remaining information to NRW by their (SAE's) requested extension deadline of 19/03/21. This date was requested by SAE in order for them to provide the following outstanding pieces of info:

1. Schedule 5 notice dated 29/07/20 Question 4 (water emissions impact assessment)
2. Schedule 5 notice dated 29/07/20 Question 9 (impact of aerial emissions on ecological receptors)
3. Schedule 5 notice dated 02/10/2020 (Fire Prevention and Mitigation Plan - FPMP)

Since this request, further information has been provided to NRW in relation to 1. and 2. above. That's not to say this info is final as NRW could still request further explanations but SAE seem to believe that they have submitted everything required: "I am pleased to confirm that we have provided a complete and detailed response to this information request on 18/12/2020 within the timescales you have requested. We trust this is sufficient information on this matter to allow you to proceed to a determination."

However, the date of the 19/03 looks to have been requested due to the following:

"In order to be able to provide as robust a response as possible to this further information request we request a 10 week extension from 08/01/2021 to 19/03/2021 for provision of our response. This time is needed due to the impact of the Christmas holidays, the level of detail that is required to be collated for a full response and the need for input from third party contractors including the EPC contractor (Mitsubishi Power Europe).
In order to fully respond to the request for information made by NRW, SUP have opted to complete an extension of the Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) model to cover all areas of the boiler within the zone of interest for determination of flue gas time temperature history. Extension of the model will be completed by a specialist third party contractor (AIXprocess GmbH) through Mitsubishi Power Europe with close collaboration with the Uskmouth Conversion Project technical team and technical support provider Uniper Technologies Limited. Given the complex nature of this undertaking, delivery of the extended CFD model report is anticipated by 05/03/2021. Following this a period of time is necessary for; interpretation, interrogation and integration of these results into our responses, 2 weeks has been included for this within our requested 10 week extension".

Additionally, and I think a very important statement in this letter is the fact that SAE have referred to Mitsubishi Power Europe (MPE) as the EPC Contractor! Before I run out of room to write any more - follow this link to see who SAE are using to put together these remaining requests for NRW:

Scout - it says it here (the bracketed bit that states 'or a part thereof'):

"Each investment made by the Investor under the Agreement will be made by way of prepayment for new Shares to be issued, at the Investor's request, within 24 months of the date of the corresponding prepayment (the "Placing Shares"). The number of Placing Shares to be issued in respect of each prepayment will be determined by dividing the gross value of the investment (or a part thereof) by the average of the five daily volume-weighted average prices during a specified period".

I found it quite confusing the first few reads and had to go back to the 16th Dec RNS to make sense of it but I think it means that the investor (subscriber) invested the first £2m back in December and they have now requested £750,000 worth of that investment in shares. The price of which is taken from the 5 day VWAP at the time of the investment - hence why it works out as roughly 15.5p. They actually have 24 months to request the shares after each prepayment and get a 5% discount if they wait 9 months and a 10% if they wait 18 months. Hi again Scout - as another week draws to a close and we've seen little concerning movement with the SP, neither up nor down that is, could you possibly find the time to put a few of your notes/links/research on here for me to have a look at over the weekend? As you know, I am massively positive about the SUP project and pretty much all my research and links posted are of a positive nature (naturally) but I want to make sure I am not looking at it through rose tinted spectacles. If you're sitting on something that suggests SUP won't happen it would be good to share it with fellow investors. It won't be seen as deramping if you can support it with evidence. Morning Scout - did you see this reply from yesterday regarding the £750K and a possible reason?

I imagine doing £750k as opposed to the full £2m ‘lessons the blow’ and therefore stabilises the SP? It’s in their best interest to maintain a steady and market supported SP as they can still drawn down the remaining £1.25m at the same price of 15.5p at a later date? To do it all now would drop the current SP more than it has and would be poor business sense as an investor I think. The December RNS says they can’t short sell but doesn’t detail whether they have restrictions on selling straight away or not. OHS (the one and only)
